Perks for the Parents

This spacious San Diego home is well located for beach and theme park fun, with great parks nearby and a large yard with plenty for the kids to enjoy. There are 3 large bedrooms including the over-sized master. The media room is upstairs as well and offers a soundproof respite for a napping baby in a travel crib if necessary. The community offers a pool and spa, workout facility, tennis, volleyball, and a park for little children.

Why Kids Love it

This property is great for kids from toddlers to teenagers. They provide books, toys, bikes, boogie boards, and beach gear. Babies are welcome. There is plenty of space for a travel crib or high chair but the owners no longer have them - you will have to bring them or use a local babycare rental agency. The residence is a short walk from a few parks and the house is located on a quiet cul-de-sac.

Things to Know

Minimum stay: One week. The neighborhood has a guard, gate, and is nearly silent at night except for the sounds of nature. It is located very near several great parks, and within 7 miles of the beaches at Del Mar. There are many fine eateries and activities within a minute’s drive of the home. Nearby you will find parks and hiking trails.

About the Location

The home is approximately 20 minutes from San Diego airport or 90+ minutes from Los Angeles international airport. It is within a few minutes of freeway access to Legoland, Sea World, safari park, and the world-famous San Diego Zoo. The beaches of Del Mar and the Torrey Pines Golf Course are with a few minutes drive.

Accommodation Details

This large family home has a large gourmet kitchen along with breakfast area, family room, a media room, a dining room and living room. There are 3 bedrooms, 1 large oversized master bedroom with kingsize bed and 2 kids rooms. One have 2 twin beds and the other has 2 full beds and they share a bathroom. The gardens have a large yard with trampoline, basketball, and ping-pong table.

Style Notes

The home is a laid-back luxury abode with a Tuscan influence. The kitchen has quartz floors and granite countertops with sleek stainless appliances. Burled walnut floors and wool Berber carpeting make for a soft warm aesthetic. The kids rooms are attractive, simple spaces without an excess of decor to to worry about. We love the 'wood and white' aesthetic and the oval bath tub.

We are a family of 6; me and a really great husband and our four sons. I love to travel and have been taking the crew with me as often and as far as I can. My boys love eating great food, boarding great waves, hanging together, and ice cream every day.

San Diego County, California

Big hitters and small pleasures

You might know San Diego for its stellar attractions: SeaWorld, Legoland and San Diego Zoo, to name but three. But there's more to the city than that. The small pleasures of digging for sand crabs on the beach - all 70 miles of it - picnicking in the park and enjoying a local craft beer make it a fun place to visit too. We love the water parks, surf towns with a 1960s vibe, complete with diners and vintage cars, and, of course, Mission Beach. With year-round sun and enough room on the beach for whatever you want to do, from building sandcastles to surfing giant waves, there's every reason to make San Diego your next family vacation stop.
