Why Kids Love it

Kids will love the playground behind the house that’s a short stroll away. The house has children’s books and toys so you can pack light and there’s a wonderful treehouse in the backyard with an open, grassy area that’s perfect for outdoor games. As the sun goes down, kids can roast marshmallows over the firepit or snuggle up in the one of the cozy double / full beds. Out and about, Santa Barbara Zoo has lions, giraffes, elephants and the Santa Barbara Museum of Art has family friendly activities. Or you’re a 10-minute drive from Kids World, which has picnic areas, slides and fun things for kids aged 2 to 12.

Note there is no bathtub in the house. Safety notes: The tree house and hot tub are not suitable for toddlers or very young children. This residence would better suit children aged 4 and up. Style Notes

Californian contemporary chic. This light, bright and beautifully minimalist home has all modern amenities mixed with an earthy, homely feel. Natural wood textures and an exposed brick fireplace are contrasted with colorful textiles and art pieces collected on trips around the world. We love the outdoor shower that’s perfect for cooling down after a trip to the beach, the tranquil Scandi interior design, and the multiple dining and lounging options with beautiful views of trees for relaxing in the peaceful backyard.

We are a family of 4 who loves to travel, meet different cultures, be outdoors, dive, hike, go to the beach (Paul is a surfer so locations with waves are always a plus!). In our previous travels, we've been to Vietnam, Thailand, Maldives, New York, London, Costa Rica, Bali, Mexico and all over Brazil which is an yearly destination to visit Flavia's family in Rio.

Santa Barbara, California

Wine country, palm-fringed beaches and family fun

On the central Californian coast, Santa Barbara brings together wine country, sandy beaches and family attractions to create a fantastic family vacation destination. From the palm-fringed beaches to the shark-touching tank at the Museum of Natural History Sea Center, the beach cafés and lush parks, not to mention the small but perfectly formed zoo, Santa Barbara caters for families exceptionally well. Active kids will love sea kayaking, hiking trails in state parks and bike rides along Cabrillo Boulevard. It’s what beach cruisers were made for.
