Perks for the Parents

A sunny retreat in Sonoma County with everything you need for a family stay, close to wineries, beaches, Redwoods and more. It sleeps 8. Parents will love all the amenities and essentials, so you won't have to pack all the family gear: you’ll find a high chair, 2 booster seats, full-size and toddler-size sleeping cots, a pack-n-play, travel bassinet, step stool, and more. The hosts are also happy to move furniture around to accommodate families, such as storing the coffee table in the garage if traveling with fast-moving toddlers! The backyard is perfect for lazy days outdoors with the kids, with its gazebo-covered spacious sectional, propane fire table, covered dining area and propane grill, hot tub and porch swing.

Why Kids Love it

This home is well suited for families with kids of all ages. Young children love the open yard with a play house, sand box, and platform swing. Bath toys are available for young children, as well as indoor building toys like magnetic building toys and a wooden train set. Elementary age children will enjoy the climbing dome, hot tub, and the range of card games and board games available, while teenagers can hang out in the office area that is separate from the main living area, where there’s a computer and TV.

About the Location

This home is located in a friendly neighborhood in Santa Rosa, called Bennett Valley. For family days out, you can walk to the small playgrounds across the street. Or, half a mile away is the large central jewel park of Santa Rosa, Howarth Park, which has a steam train, carousel and large playground, a swimming lagoon, kayaks and SUP rentals, as well as miles of trails connecting to Spring Lake county park and Annadel state park. It is close to Sonoma Highway / Valley of the Moon, home to dozens of wineries between Santa Rosa and Glen Ellen, Kenwood and Sonoma. Style Notes

Laid-back Californian. The house decor is warm and cozy, with comfortable quality mattresses and 100% cotton bedding for a good night’s sleep. The hosts have chosen warm tones of teal and orange for the furnishings to add depth to a neutral color palette, as well as textured wall hangings and patterned rugs for a laid-back feel. We love the contemporary 4-poster queensize bed, the vibrant orange front door and the nature-inspired artwork.
