Santorini, Greek Islands

Volcanic beaches and playful dolphins

One of the Cyclades most characterful islands, Santorini is set on an underwater volcano with rugged cliffs, outlying islands and multicolored sand beaches. Find shade at lunchtime by wandering the narrow cobbled streets of Fira, get fantastic views of the port by cable car from the cliffs above it and watch for dolphins bursting through the clear water on boat trips around the caldera.

Wonderful!! Beachfront property, walk to amazing restaurants with drink service, recliners and umbrellas at the beach. Hosts were very accommodating and the home is beautiful in the picturesque Santorini architectural style. From start to end- fabulous!!!

This was my favorite place we stayed in Greece! Perissa's black volcanic beach was gorgeous—and entirely our own, thanks to coming in January :-) Akis and Irina were great hosts and my 6-year-old particularly loved the little sleeping loft with toys! We will definitely be back (probably in warmer weather next!)

Our stay at Perissa residence was prefect for our family. The accommodation was very close to the beach and everything else we needed but it was still quiet and private. Irina and Akis were friendly and great hosts, they gave excellent advice on local places to visit and the best places to eat. The accommodation was very clean, well maintained and had everything we needed which a few extra lovely touches. Highly recommended and Perissa is prefect for those looking for a beach on Santorini. My only word of caution is that the black volcanic sand gets extremely hot so remember beach shoes, you will need them.

Our stay at the Perissa Residence couldn't have been better. Irina and her family live next door, ensuring that anything you needed was done right then and there. She arranged all of our cars to and from the airport and port and made sure we didn't get ripped off. The residence is steps away from the sea and sand and walking distance to great tavernas and shops. They also made great recommendations of places which were all a hit. They also told us which places to avoid which is helpful when you don't know the lay of the land. Irina even made us homemade cookies for our journey to the next island which I still dream about. (yummy)! The place itself was great for my family. It has a tiny kitchen so that you can cook if needed and with a small child, that was really useful. The decor was simple, cool and modern. A cleaner came in to clean every day so the places was spotless when we would come back everyday from the beach. The bed was comfortable and good linen. Irina and her husband have a small boy, so we were able to use his toys to take to the beach or play when we were at the property which was amazing to keep our 3 year old busy and happy. Her sister owns the ice-cream store which is about 10 steps away. I would highly recommend staying there with a small child or even an older child as there is a mezzanine for sleeping, but I would only use it if the child was bigger as the stairs up to it should only be for a big kid. The black sand beach is steps away and they give you the use of their umbrella and lounge chairs for free which is a bonus. Irina is a gracious and lovely host! We would definitely go back.
