Style Notes

Modern Bali. Built in 2015, this villa uses antique and reclaimed wood in its construction to create a comfortable family space. Being among country fields and rice paddies adds a relaxed atmosphere; the indoor-outdoor nature of the villa allows for airflow and gentle breezes throughout. Features include soaring ceilings, antique wood beams, stained glass windows and a mix of antique Balinese and old European styles. We love the tiled floors, the stunning ceilings and the semi-open tropical bathrooms.

Before I had my daughter I lived and worked in London and then Hong Kong as a commercial lawyer. Once I became a mom, I moved to Bali for a different pace of life. I enjoy traveling regularly to visit friends and family who mostly live in Sydney, Melbourne, Hong Kong, London, Paris, LA, Victoria, Ottawa, Toronto, New York and Montreal. I have yet to visit friends who have moved to Lisbon. These are my favored destinations, although I'm sure there are new places I could visit - just not sure when! My daughter is two and a half and my son will join us in a few months. My daughter loves pre-school which she attends every day (drop in for visitors is possible) swimming in our pool and going down the water slides in the nearby water park, playing in the sand on the nearby beach, bouncing in the trampoline room, enjoying arts and crafts at various local cafe's that also have children's play grounds and entertaining herself making up stories with her toys at home. I enjoy being with my daughter, going to Yoga and Pilates classes, getting massages at home, visiting the many spa's, eating out in the wide choice of delicious and affordable nearby restaurants and cafe's, buying furniture for my villa, having friends from around the world come to visit, especially with their children, attend networking events and a variety of courses and working on my businesses. And occasionally going out for a beach party or nightclub. There's a lot of that nearby, but if I'm honest I probably only go out past 9pm when I have childless friends in town who are more clued in to that scene than I am. Its fun when I do it though! I joined Kid and Coe in the hopes of easily finding suitable places for me and my family to stay when we travel and to share my home with families while I am away.
