In the Sepolia area of Athens, under 2km from the city center, this bright and beautiful 2-bedroom apartment has plenty of space for the kids, plus an art collection and kids playroom. With a lovely modern kitchen and kids' bedroom, and thoughtful interior design touches, the apartment is colorful and spacious. It creates a relaxed feel for kids, where they can play, jump and craft in an environment that is casual and fun. It takes 10 minutes by taxi to reach the main tourist attractions, and an 8-minute walk takes you to the closest metro station. Car rental is recommended; it’s easy to reach Delphi or Nafplio via the National Highway from the house, for an easy day trip.

Why Kids Love it

The residence has a colourful kids bedroom and a lot of toys for kids of all ages. A new room is been prepared for extra toys and fun, with pillows and a video projector for kids movies. Baby amenities are provided, including a high chair, baby bath tub, travel crib, crib, mosquito tent, kids sleeping bag and more. There are 2 large poufs ideal for lounging on in the living room, if you’re a young traveler, plus a desk and play table. The neighborhood is quiet and peaceful and there is a small children playground on the next block. Athen’s best beaches, including Edem and Astir, are a 20-30 minute drive away.

Things to Know

Minimum stay: 3 nights. This apartment is on the 2nd floor and has no elevator. It has a mezzanine level with laundry and iron and extra board facilities. Clothes can be dried in the apartment’s 2 balconies on a portable drier or on the roof terrace. There are 2 balconies where children should be supervised at all time; kids are not permitted on the roof terrace which is not child-safe. One is outside the living room and the other is outside the bedrooms. There is a free parking space in the front of the building. The residence has a multimedia area in the living room, including a 43'' smart TV with keyboard, a CD & radio player and free internet throughout. Pets are welcome.

About the Location

The residence is in Sepolia area in Athens, 1.7km north of the city center (a 10-minute drive) and 30-50 minutes from the international airport. There is a children’s playground a block away and a basketball court for teens next to it. Armenian kebab houses are very popular in the neighborhood, and there is a gourmet steak house a kilometer away. Piraeus harbour is a 20-30 minute drive away. There are public transport options nearby, including Sepolia station (8 minutes’ walk away) which is 6 stops from the Acropolis. The National Highway nearby makes it easy to reach cities and beaches for day trips. Car rental is recommended but public transport is an option too.

Accommodation Details

This 2 bedroomed 1-floor apartment centers on a large open plan lounge-diner eat-in kitchen, and has access to 2 balconies with a view to the sky and mountains. There is a master bedroom with a double bed, a children’s bedroom with 2 single beds suitable for ages 3 and up, and a travel crib with a mosquito tent and toys. The sun reaches the children's bedroom when it rises. The layout is a rectangle with the bedrooms in the east and the living room and the kitchen in the west. The bathroom has a shower only. A mezzanine level has laundry facilities and there is a roof deck where you can dry clothes. There is no outdoor play space.

Style Notes

Calm and soothing. This lovely apartment is flooded with light and sunshine and has high ceilings and views of the mountains. Fresh and white, it has both brand new appliances and art in the walls. The kids bedroom is colourful, with a lot of green pillows, and the living room is arranged so kids can play and draw on the coffee table in front of the sofa. The kitchen is easily cleaned and has enough space to prepare the meals, with a bench at the kitchen table to host little friends. We love the simple natural colors throughout, the easy open plan space and the thoughtful and fun kids bedroom.

Payment policy
When a host accepts your booking, we will automatically charge your card 30% of the total cost of the stay on acceptance if the check in date is more than 6 weeks away. We will send you a balance payment reminder at 6 weeks before check in and you will be required to submit your payment to finalise your reservation. If a host accepts your booking and the check in date is 6 weeks away or less, we will charge your card 100% of the total cost of the stay on acceptance.
Cancellation policy
For cancellations notified up to 6 weeks before the check in date, guests will receive a refund of any amount paid less 10% of the total cost of the booking. For cancellations notified at 6 weeks or less before the check in date, no refunds are given unless the host agrees. If a host does agree to a full or partial refund, this amount will be returned to the guest less 10% of the total cost of the booking. Some hosts will also allow a stay to be rescheduled. Guests should contact their host for further information regarding any request to change the dates of a stay.

A couple of kilometers north of the busy city center, Sepolia is a quiet neighborhood where you can experience life as a local family in the city. Take the metro into the city in 10 minutes to browse archaeological finds and stellar museums, or drive to the beach for a day of sun, sand and sea. It’s a take on Athens without the tourist crush.

Booking was easy, they do take the full amount rather than a deposit so you naturally have a little worry if it falls through, though not a big concern we paid in full and it went well. The host met us on the day, very friendly and helpful, the apartment was perfect for us we had a 2 year old and 5 month old baby. One bedroom with a large double bed and another bedroom with a single bed and cot for the baby, the host had gone a got a bed guard for our boy which was nice. Very basic apartment which again was perfect, it had plenty of space and everything you could need there was a box of toys and some bean bags, the space gave our boy the room to play, run around and be himself. The local area had some nice restaurants only a few minutes walk away, a local supermarket the same just a few minutes. 10 minutes in a taxi will take you to the fun ground, water park and the centre of Athens. Your best to call the taxi to come pick you up, there was some local info at the apartment with a taxi number. The only negative, were the stairs to the apartment, as there wasn't lift. 2 kids and the luggage made this a bit inconvenient but for us not an issue. We enjoyed the entire stay and the apartment was beautiful in a nice area.
