A characterful Victorian terrace with its own Mediterranean style garden oasis in the heart of vibrant Shepherd’s Bush. It sleeps 6 + 1. Set in a quiet and friendly cul de sac, this spacious residence provides a relaxing and peaceful base for city exploration, with cafes, restaurants and playgrounds on its doorstep. The local tube station is just minutes walk bringing all the attractions of central London within easy reach. For laid back days or evenings in, there’s plenty of space to relax and unwind with a double length sitting room, a contemporary kitchen-diner and a pretty, south facing garden that can be lit up at night for atmospheric alfresco dining. All the bedrooms have their own ensuite bathrooms for added privacy, and the primary’s is particularly luxurious with a bathtub and a separate walk-in shower, as well as a superkingsize bed.
Why Kids Love it
Kids will love this relaxed urban residence, close to all the action of a bustling London town but with plenty of space to relax, play, explore or crawl about at home. There’s a good selection of books and toys, including a collection of toy cars, as well as board games and card decks for games nights. The pretty garden has a patio area for outside play, and there’s an outdoor table for picnic style dining. The living area is the perfect chill out zone with a large sofa and a cinema style TV with all the Sky channels for catching up with the latest movie, series or sports game. The kids’ bedroom is playfully decorated and there’s a trundle bed for sleeping an additional guest if required. For those with extra energy, there are parks and playgrounds a short walk away and the excellent Music House for Children is literally at the end of the road with a regular concert programme for younger ones.
Things to Know
Minimum stay: 5 nights. The residence has 3 floors without an elevator. There are stairs but no stair gates so younger ones should be supervised. Please note that 1 bedroom is locked for storage, with the other 3 available to guests. Look out for the secret staircase which hides the dressing room. The small double bed in the kids’ room has a single trundle bed beneath to accommodate a 7th guest. There is WiFi throughout and a utility room in the basement including a washer/dryer. For those bringing a car, there is on-street parking available, but please note that this is chargeable by the hour, 7 days a week. Sorry no pets, or parties.

The residence is located in Shepherd’s Bush, West London, a bustling area with an eclectic mix of restaurants, cafes, cultural offerings and playgrounds. The O2 Shepherd’s Bush Empire and Bush Theatre are both around a 10-minute walk, playing host to cutting edge productions and concerts throughout the year. For shopping, Westfield shopping center is a 15-minute walk showcasing all the big brands; if independent boutiques are more of a draw, Notting Hill is just 15 minutes by car. The nearest station is Shepherd’s Bush Market, just 7 minutes’ walk with frequent trains into central London via the Hammersmith and City, and Circle Lines. The closest international airport is Heathrow, 30 minutes by car.
Accommodation Details
The residence has 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms set over 3 floors. The entrance is on the ground floor leading into the central living areas of the home. There’s a double reception room with sofas, armchairs, a TV, bookshelves and French doors leading out to the patio garden. The modern kitchen-diner is fully equipped with everything a guest may require including a dishwasher, with doors to the Mediterranean style garden where there’s additional dining space and a sun lounger. The utility area is downstairs in the basement and includes a washer/dryer. Upstairs, there are 2 bedrooms on the first floor including the primary with a superking size bed, seating, a marble fireplace and an ensuite bathroom with a bathtub and a walk-in shower. The kids’ bedroom is also on this floor, with a small double bed containing a single trundle bed beneath to sleep an additional guest, as well as an ensuite bathroom. The second bedroom is upstairs in the loft and comes with a queensize bed and an ensuite bathroom with a shower.

Playful Victorian. Located in a conservation area of classic period townhouses, this elegant residence combines original features with subtle contemporary updates and a sense of fun. Owned by a couple working in the creative arts, it is packed full of beautiful paintings, sculpture, modern art and books from their own collection weaving artistry and interest throughout. Whitewashed walls and light, wooden floors are complimented by brushed concrete, painted shiplap and sisal carpeting to create a calm and contemporary feel while marble fire surrounds and original sash windows uphold some historic elegance. We love the garden oasis with its olive tree, walled trellises and pretty paved patio offering the perfect spot to enjoy a morning coffee or an afternoon tea in the sun.

Westfield, Europe's largest shopping centre is in its borough and there are several local parks great for kids, along with family-friendly eateries and good Tube connections.
