The beautiful retreat is located on the green hills of Tuscany and is part of a winery that’s known for its excellent produce and a vast, well-kept farm. The villa has wide panoramic views of the valley, which can be enjoyed from the infinity pool, surrounded by a solarium equipped with sun loungers. Spend your days exploring the historic towns and villages of this picturesque region, or simply lounging on the terrace, cooking on the barbecue and enjoying relaxed al fresco family meals on a large panoramic pergola.
Why Kids Love it
There’s plenty of space for kids to play with siblings or friends here. They’ll love splashing in the infinity pool (4x8 meters; 1.40 meters deep) and the grassy lawn is great for garden games. Indoors, there’s games and books for families, plus a flat-screen TV with a DVD player and a music stereo for stress-free lounging in the main living room. It’s also half an hour from the ecological parks, wild swimming pools and hiking trails of Colle di Val d’Elsa. For parents with babies or toddlers, the hosts can provide a crib and high chair on request.
Things to Know
Minimum stay: 6 nights. Pets may be welcome on request. There are 2 BBQs outside (gas and wood). An on-site laundry room includes a washing machine, dryer, sink, iron and ironing board. Each of the bathrooms are ensuite, fitted with a bath, a shower, a bidet and a WC. As the hosts for additional concierge requests, including: a private chef and grocery shopping on request, domestic help for cleaning (bedrooms and bathrooms, 6 hours per week) and gas heating (for an additional fee, between April and November). About the Location
This residence is located half an hour from Siena in Tuscany. It's a unique location within farmland, with a winery on the premises. The nearest shops, restaurants and a small supermarket are in Casole d’Elsa (approximately 6.5 kilometers away) and there’s also a golf course about 21 kilometers away. Guests can choose to stay back at the villa and enjoy the Tuscan countryside or venture out to visit the main tourist destinations of central Tuscany, such as San Gimignano (27 km), Volterra (30 km), Sienna (36 km), Florence (65 km) or nearby picturesque villages that make for wonderful walking trails. The beaches on the Tyrrhenian coast are around 1-1.5 hours away. Florence airport is about 1 hour away; Pisa Airport is around 1.5 hours away.
Accommodation Details
This property has 8 bedrooms and 9 bathrooms, divided into a main villa and 2 independent annexes. Main villa: the building is divided into 2 levels and a separate suite. In the main building, there is a living room and a large and bright dining room, perfect for enjoying homemade meals, with a glass wall on one side of the room overlooking the green outdoors. For easy and hassle-free meal preparations, the kitchen is fully equipped with a coffee machine, a dishwasher, a microwave, an oven, a toaster, a cooker hob, an electric kettle and a fridge. The kitchen has a glass door leading to the outdoors, with a breakfast table to enjoy light meals. The bedrooms are located on the first floor: 2 double rooms and 2 twin rooms. Annex A: Roughly 20 meters from the main villa, there is an independent annex with an outdoor area, living room, a dining area, kitchen, 1 twin room and 1 double bedroom. Annex B: approximately 20 meters from the main villa, it has an open-plan living room with a sitting area, a dining area, kitchen and 2 double bedrooms.
Style Notes
Rural charm. The architecture reminds of a bygone era but the amenities are modern to make the stay comfortable and enjoyable. Traditional terracotta floor tiles blend with classic warm colors on the walls, while the architectural details are visible in stone archways and exposed ceiling timber. Each bedroom has its own color palette, in harmony with the natural tones of the surrounding countryside. We love the arched brick ceilings, the classic wooden window shutters and the large stone fireplace in the living room.
