Perks for the Parents

This 3-bedroom apartment in West Soho is convenient for city exploration and is just around the corner from The Children’s Museum of the Arts. Spacious, with a large dining table for 8 in the main open plan living space, it is in a great part of the city with 3 subway lines nearby. Getting around the city is easy. The master bedroom is large and has room for a Pack’n’Play (provided on request) if needed. The bathroom includes a huge tub and shower, with toys for the kids.

Why Kids Love it

The Hudson River Park is a block away, and there are multiple playgrounds in walking distance. The apartment includes lots of toys and art supplies for children 5-8, and a dedicated kids bedroom with an elegant Oeuf bunk bed. Borrow the hosts’ scooters and explore the play spaces nearby, or scoot to the many kid-friendly restaurants and cafés nearby. If it rains, The Children’s Museum of the Arts is around the corner and is a good place to pass a rainy morning.

Things to Know

Minimum stay: 2 days most of the year, 1 week during July and August. There are 4 steps up to the front door to the keyed elevator that takes you to the apartment on the 4th floor. There is a parking lot 2 blocks away but not much street parking. Car rental not essential with reliable public transport nearby. There is a great kitchen but no need to cook: the city’s best restaurants are walking distance from the front door.

About the Location

The residence is in West Soho, 2 blocks to Tribeca, Soho shopping and the charming West Village. This central location makes a New York City stay with the kids super easy. The new Whitney is close by. There are several subway stops a block or 2 away and the loft is walking distance from all downtown neighborhoods. Newark, Laguardia and JFK are all approximately an hour away by car/taxi.

Accommodation Details

This Manhattan loft has 3 bedrooms and 1 bath. The master has a kingsize bed, the second has a bunk beds and the third has a twin bed. The living space is mainly open plan and includes a dining table, lounge and great kitchen. The bathroom has a soaking tub and shower.

Style Notes

Bright, sunny and modern. This chic but comfortable family loft includes plenty of items to make a stay easy, from Apple TV and cable TV to a proper dining table plus little table for children’s meals. There is a great kitchen with a marble top island and an industrial stove. We love the display of modern art, the oversized stuffed toys and the classic New York loft feel.

We had a wonderful time! The boys felt very welcome with all the toys and space for them to play. Lisa was very nice and even left us museum entries. We all loved it! Thanks Lisa!

This place was perfect. We had stayed at a hotel for the first few days as this place was not available the whole time. As soon as our girls walked in they were giddy about all of the toys and great kids rooms to sleep in. We had everything we needed and the place was clean. It was in a great location for everything we wanted to do too. We loved it!

We loved our stay at Lisa’s fabulous home. Perfect base to explore several neighborhoods with fun parks and playgrounds for the kids. Our girls (age 1 & 3) loved playing with all the toys and Lisa left us with great recommendations for restaurants and activities to try with them. We loved the children’s art museum and playground along the Hudson River Pier. Hope to visit again soon!
