Perks for the Parents

This lovely 4-bedroom Hamptons house with a pool is a quiet oasis, perfect for relaxing at the private pool or for a day of sea and sand. It sleeps up to 7 adults. Only 5 minutes by car from the Meschutt Beach, this residence is a great space for a young family with a fully-equipped playroom on the ground floor packed with toys, books and games. Adults will enjoy entertaining on the outdoor decks, family days on the beach, or renting a boat and enjoying the area.

Why Kids Love it

The beach is so nearby you can pop home for lunch and a nap. Meanwhile, the house has plenty of toys, books, a huge playroom with a circus tent, lemonade stand and Lego. There is also a scooter, 3 bicycles and a tricycle to borrow. Kids will love splashing in the pool with the fun floaters and they have their own table in the kitchen with 4 chairs where they can play and eat. A pack 'n' play and a high chair are provided.

Things to Know

Minimum stay: 14 days in June through Labor Day weekend. 3 nights outside of high summer summer. Discounts are available for month-long rentals in July & August - ask the host for details. Please contact the host for up to date availability. A security deposit is taken by the host for this home. Amenities include high-speed WiFi, cable TV, new central heating and air conditioning (updated in 2022), and washer-dryer. Fresh towels, beach towels and 2 beach chairs are included. There are steps leading down into the garden from the outdoor terrace. The heated pool was redone in 2022, is gated and is only accessible from the main terrace or from the gate that is facing the street. Pets are not allowed. Note that stairs are not gated but have a removal gate that can be taken on or off.

About the Location

The beach house is in the Shinnecock Hills neighborhood, conveniently located in a cul-de-sac between Southampton and Hampton Bay, New York State and just off the Sunrise Highway. It is 2 hours' drive from New York City and 1 hour 20 minutes' drive from John F. Kennedy International Airport. The property is 10 minutes' drive from Southampton and Hampton Bay train stations. There are car rentals available near the train stations. Alternatively, you can drive and park in front of the house.

Accommodation Details

This property has 4 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. On the first floor there is a kitchen, dining area with a table for 6 adults and a living room with an L-shaped couch. In addition there is a bathroom, plus a kingsize bedroom and a bedroom with a single bed. Outside on this floor, there are 2 decks one with seating area and one with barbecue and dining table. There is a solar panel-heated swimming pool in the private garden. Both bathrooms have showers. On the ground floor, there are 2 queensize bedrooms – one of which doubles as a playroom – and a bathroom and the laundry room.

Style Notes

Beachside bliss. The bright and light interior is contemporary with a touch of Mid Century modern and has been recently renovated. The interior is mainly white with splashes of color and natural wood tones. The sunny deck is painted dove gray and has accent throw pillows. Eames-style dining chairs sit around a sleek dining table with garden views from 2 windows. We love the contemporary design touches such as the cactus light stand, the Picasso-esque, brightly-colored bedspread and the beautifully-styled outdoor space overlooking the pool and the secluded gardens.

Payment policy
When a host accepts your booking, we will automatically charge your card 30% of the total cost of the stay on acceptance if the check in date is more than 6 weeks away. We will send you a balance payment reminder at 6 weeks before check in and you will be required to submit your payment to finalise your reservation. If a host accepts your booking and the check in date is 6 weeks away or less, we will charge your card 100% of the total cost of the stay on acceptance.
Cancellation policy
For cancellations notified up to 6 weeks before the check in date, guests will receive a refund of any amount paid less 15% of the total cost of the booking. For cancellations notified at 6 weeks or less before the check in date, no refunds are given unless the host agrees. If a host does agree to a full or partial refund, this amount will be returned to the guest less 15% of the total cost of the booking. Some hosts will also allow a stay to be rescheduled. Guests should contact their host for further information regarding any request to change the dates of a stay.
