Perks for the Parents
This beautiful one-story waterfront residence with a pool and water views - from the pool itself as well as the house - is in a sensational spot for sunsets. Nearby the town of Southold has sensational restaurants. There are beaches within easy reach and the saltwater pond outside the house is swimmable. With room to sleep up to 8-10 plus a baby, it's a great option any time of the year for a peaceful respite from the city.
Why Kids Love it
The owners have stocked the house with baby equipment and toys good for bigger kids, including two stand up paddle boards and a pool for splashing around all day. The house includes a pack n play and bunk bed, toys, a high chair, plus a ping pong table, playroom, play structure with swings and slide on the front lawn. Kayaks and bikes are also available for cruising around the water and neighborhood.
Things to Know
The minimum stay varies throughout the year and guests should inquire with the host to discuss further. A rental agreement will be required to be signed for all bookings. Max number of guests is 8-10. Note that the pool is ungated. There is a $250 fee for additional cleanings during a stay. The downstairs playroom is great for extra guests. The guest room has an outdoor shower and brand new bath attached to it, right next to the pool and could easily accommodate another couple or child on a pullout couch. Please note that there is a stone wall and a gate by the pond.
About the Location
The residence is a 2 hour drive/ train ride from New York City, 7 minutes from Southold and Greenport. There are local beaches in every direction including Pipes Cove and Town Beach, which are a short bike ride away (or about 20 mins walking). Greenport is a few minutes' drive and offers a carousel, a boardwalk and great restaurants. There are grocery stores and ice cream stores in both towns.
Accommodation Details
This 4 bedroom, Mid-Century waterfront house has a pool and huge lawn. There is an eat-in kitchen, separate dining room, outdoor shower and fireplace with water views in the lounge. The bedrooms include a primary bedroom with king bed, 2 children’s bedrooms - one with a twin over full bunkbed (and trundle), and another with a a full bed and room for a pack n play. There is also 1 guest room with queen bed. The basement playroom has additional beds, perfect for kids or a nanny.
Style Notes
Modern, light and airy Mid-Century home. It has bright and beachy decor with water views from every window. The kitchen is modern, with stainless appliances, a breakfast counter and Mid-Century modern dining furniture. The incredible sunsets are a highlight, as is the view from the waterside pool. We love the dining room, with water views from 3 sides, and the charming kids rooms.

This Suffolk County town, on the northeastern tip of North Fork, is a quiet farm village by the sea ideal for a family vacation. Buy fruit and vegetables by the side of the road, play on the beach and visit local vineyards. The kids will love the ice cream, the carousel and boardwalk in nearby Greenport; you’ll love fresh clams and rosé with a view of the ocean.
