One of the smaller double rooms could be used for an au pair or nanny. Outside there are pool toys, floats, a children's play area and slides, as well as football nets, table tennis, badminton set and pétanque for all the family to enjoy.

About the Location

The chateau is rural and surrounded by countryside. It’s located in Labarthe in the Gers department of southwestern France, approximately 1 hour, 30 minutes west of Toulouse. You can find shops, supermarkets and restaurants nearby at the little villages of Seissan and Masseube (about 5 minutes in opposite directions). Grown-up chic. This 17th century chateau has been meticulously designed and curated with Farrow and Ball, Sandberg wallpaper, Pierre Frey and Soho Home used throughout. You’ll love the extremely comfortable bedrooms, with luxurious Four Seasons Hotel mattresses, high thread-count Egyptian cotton sheets, and essential amenities such as hairdryers, irons and ironing boards. The bespoke deVOL kitchen has been equipped with a large Lacanche range cooker. Colours are rich jewelled blues and greens mixed effortlessly with contemporary furniture, antique pieces and historic fireplaces. We are a family of four living in the heart of the French Alps, especially during the school term time. We split our time between Dubai, South West France and the Alps due to our work obligations. In 2018 we bought a dreamy chateau in South West France after falling in love with the region and set about renovating it over the last few years. We wanted a place to be able to escape the bustle of city life, bring together friends and family and to share wonderful memories. The house has been designed with this and families in mind. In the summer the endless outdoor areas to explore including the orchards, outbuildings, walking trails, BBQ, pool and terrace will keep all ages entertained. In winter, the house is warm and cosy with open fire places, a library to tuck yourself away with a book and a large bespoke kitchen for lazy afternoon roasts and cooking with friends. When we are not at the chateau we are either at our other house in the mountains or in Dubai. We love the outdoors, traveling with our kids, skiing and food. We would love other families to be able to experience the peace and magic of the chateau when we are not there.

Southwest France, South of France

Vineyards, castles and mountains

Forget frogs legs, berets and necklaces of onions: this is the real France. The southwest is a lesser visited part of the country, bordered to the south by the Pyrenees and to the west by the Atlantic ocean. Here you’ll find local ski stations, salt water baths, ancient caves with cave paintings of horses and cows, lakes and river rapids, fairytale castles and rows and rows of grape vines. Life is lived at a leisurely pace and it’s a great place to visit if you want to reconnect as a family and enjoy the great outdoors together.
