Close to some of the best surf breaks, beach bars and lively eateries of Sri Lanka’s superb south coast, this deeply luxurious villa really does have it all, boasting views of the ocean, a swimmable lake, games pavilion and floodlit skate park for the kids. It sleeps 10. With a walled garden of 9000sqm there is space and also privacy here. Comfortable seating provides a lovely area to relax away from the heat, and views over the pool and gardens are stunning. Dining areas under the veranda are a place for long meals in the balmy warmth of the evening.

Why Kids Love it

For kids who love water, this place is a dream come true. Not only is it within easy reach of a beautiful beach, but there’s also a pool and a swimmable lake at the centre of the property. Adventurous kids can jump into the lake from the garden above. In the grounds is a slack line for balancing, a trampoline, and a purpose-built floodlit skate park, all within easy reach of the villa. An open-sided games pavilion with a pool table will also keep them busy for hours while parents relax.

Things to Know

Minimum stay: 3 days. A private chef, housekeeping staff and groundspeople are included in your stay. All bed linen and towels are provided. Staff quarters are located behind the main pavilion. A private chef is available for your stay who will shop for ingredients and prepare meals for you. Nannies, drivers, therapists and transportation are additional services available. Pets are not allowed. A baby crib with a mosquito net and a highchair are available on request.

About the Location

This residence is located near Mihiripenna Beach close to the coastal town of Talpe in south Sri Lanka. The UNESCO World Heritage site, Galle Dutch Fort is about 25 minutes’ drive away. Here you can enjoy the architecture of the lighthouse or clocktower, watch the sunset from the Fort windows or explore Pedlar Street’s art galleries, boutiques, gem and spice stores. Nearby, you can take an elephant ride, join a guided bike tour, enjoy exceptional dining and explore the colorful markets. The nearest international airport is in Columbo (approx. 2 hours, 15 minutes by car).

Accommodation Details

This residence has 5 bedrooms – all are kingsize and all have an ensuite bathroom – on 1 level. The primary suite bathroom also has a bath tub and is located in the main building. All of the other 4 suites are in a dedicated bedroom pavilion with TV room on the other side of the lake. All bedrooms are cooled with air conditioning and overhead fans and have floor-to-ceiling doors leading to a shared terrace or balcony. In the main living / dining pavilion is an open plan kitchen and plenty of comfortable seating. There are verandas, with al fresco dining areas, and a 13-metre swimming pool with an ocean view.

Style Notes

Exclusive tropical luxury. The hilltop setting of this villa offers blissful views of the sunrise and sunset. Cool, contemporary buildings are set within swaying palm trees and there are plenty of comfortable and secluded spaces where you can gaze out over the pool, gardens, lake and ocean. This is an extraordinary place which you’ll never want to leave. We love the many different dining options, the gorgeous bedroom suites with crisp, white linens and natural stone bathrooms, and the beautiful gardens with the skate park and games room where the kids can really kick back too.

Payment policy
A 30% deposit will be charged upon booking, the balance will be charged at 12 weeks before check in. See the cancellation policy for specifics on those terms.
Cancellation policy
For cancellations notified up to 12 weeks before the check in date, guests will receive a refund of any amount paid less 10% of the total cost of the booking. For cancellations notified at 12 weeks or less before the check in date, no refunds are given unless the host agrees. If a host does agree to a full or partial refund, this amount will be returned to the guest less 10% of the total cost of the booking. Some hosts will also allow a stay to be rescheduled. Guests should contact their host for further information regarding any request to change the dates of a stay. We strongly urge guests to consider travel insurance to help in the case of extenuating circumstances. Kid & Coe reserves the right to change these policies.
