Parents will love the lush, private backyard - the cozy patio has the feel of a tropical hideaway, complete with a hot tub, a lounge and an outdoor dining area. This spot is the perfect retreat to relax in after a day spent at the nearby sandy beach or seeing the sights of St Augustine, including Ponce de Leon's Fountain of Youth Museum which charts the history of this famous region, known as the oldest successful European settlement in the United States.
Why Kids Love it
The house is perfectly set up for kids, with no breakables around, step stools in the bathrooms, plus children’s books and board games for extra family entertainment. They’ll love the huge bunk beds and alligator-print wallpaper in the kids room, plus they’ll be amazed to find wall-mounted arcade games in there too (Pac-Man and Ms. Pac-Man games give the grown-ups a chance to join in with the kids). This home comes with a pack 'n play, high chair, toys, children’s dinnerware and more - all included, free of charge.
Things to Know
Check in: 4pm. Check out: 10am. The house is set up with towels, toiletries, laundry facilities and cleaning supplies. A local host is available to assist you during your stay and on arrival. Ask the host for advice on booking a private chef, massage therapist, concierge services, grocery deliveries, custom itineraries, local recommendations and more. You're welcome to bring up to 2 dogs for an additional fee of $250. The lead guest must be 21 years of age. When you book this property, you’ll be asked to sign a separate guest agreement.
About the Location
Set behind a tree-formed tunnel, this bungalow is located in St. Augustine’s much-loved Vilano Beach neighborhood. The beach is an easy 2-block walk in one direction, while the Tolomato River and the Caps On the Water restaurant are both just a 2-block walk in the opposite direction. Historic St Augustine is 15-20 minutes’ drive and you’ll need a car to explore the coast of Ponte Vedra to the north. It’s around 1 hour from Jacksonville international airport.
Accommodation Details
The house has 4 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms, all set over 1 floor. There’s an easy indoor-outdoor flow, with an open plan living space and vaulted ceilings. The front bedroom is large with a kingsize bed and an ensuite half bathroom. The middle of the home contains 2 smaller bedrooms that are great for kids - 1 double and 1 double bunk room (sleeping 4 kids) - and the primary kingsize suite at the back of the home boasts another full ensuite bathroom.
Style Notes
Touch of tropical. Coastal colors and bright pops of dayglow tones make this home the perfect summer vacation spot. Artwork features beach scenes and exotic animal illustrations, while the bold botanical print rug centers the outdoor living area, complete with a BBQ, hot tub and outdoor shower.
