We are a family who have lived in Australia, Norway, Singapore and the US. We currently live in Latin America. We have a cosy home on a working dairy farm very close to downtown Stavanger, Norway which we love to visit ourselves when we can with family and friends, and which we think lots of other families would enjoy as much as we do!

Stavanger, Norway

Fjords, islands and family fun

A 50-minute flight west of Oslo, Stavanger is quaint and quirky and at one with nature. Buy fresh fish from the boats when the arrive, take summer trips out to islands and have picnics on quiet inlets. The town’s museums are interactive and full of treats for kids: take your pick from the interactive Canning Museum, Petroleum Museum and Children’s Museum. Tours out to the Fjords highlight the area’s sensational nature - Lysefjord and Pulpit Rock are the area’s most visited spots. There are ski slopes nearby and an array of ice rinks for family fun in the colder months.
