Style Notes

Contemporary classic. This sensitively designed contemporary villa was constructed using local stone and teak and includes some stunning stand out features. Modern neutrals allow the curve of the roof to dominate in living spaces, while bathrooms are calm and luxurious with wide picture windows of tropical foliage and hotel-worthy bathtubs. The kids room is bright, colorful and inviting and includes toys, bean bags and mini furniture. We love the exemplary service here for families, which makes this a real home-from-home in the tropics, combined with the views of palm trees and paddyfields from the deck, and the wide loungers beside that oh-so-inviting pool.

Tabanan, Bali

Butterflies, waterfalls and black sand beaches

This area of southwest Bali is known for its volcanic black sand beaches, surf breaks and hippy hangouts. With scenic mountain roads, not to mention a butterfly park, temples and a monkey forest, there’s plenty to see and do. Rafting on mountain rivers and basking under waterfalls are two ways to get back to nature in this less commercial area of the island.

What a heavenly place. Our stay was wonderful. The house is a real jewel and the staff was always so helpful and kind. The little fauna around the house was one of the highlights, we loved so much encountering lizards, frogs and other creatures. We are already thinking about coming back.
