Perks for the Parents

This classic Canarian apartment has shared fenced gardens, space for children to play and is surrounded by orchards and vineyards. Guests can try wines from the private vineyard around the property. Plenty of baby equipment can be provided, including high chairs, different sized cribs, baby baths, a blender and more. The master bedroom has an ensuite bathroom with bath and a separate children’s bathroom with shower. The office/study space next to the master bedroom has a sofa bed and is ideal for an older child.

Why Kids Love it

This spacious home with fenced gardens has plenty of space to play - including a large private terrace and shared gardens - along with a kids bedroom with bunkbeds and a single bed. It is close to the beach and convenient for exploring northern Tenerife, which is quieter and more family-friendly than the south. For those traveling with a nanny or extended family, the residence has 2 further apartments attached which share the garden and can be booked together to sleep a further 6 adults and 2 small children. Please enquire with the hosts for further information. There are plenty of activities to keep the kids entertained in the surrounding area - Loro Park in Puerto de La Cruz: Exotic birds, dolphins, sharks and penguins (2nd Best Park in Europe); horse riding in La Esperanza village which is about a 15 minutes drive away; Pueblo Chico Park in Puerto de la Cruz and Siam Water Park in Playa de Las Americas which is a 50 minutes drive away. In addition, there are numerous beaches and natural sea water pools within driving distance.

Things to Know

Minimum stay: 7 nights. Maximum stay: 3 months. The residence is secure with gated gardens and security locks on the main doors on the top floor. Smoking is not allowed indoors, and pets are not allowed. There is a car park space for the house. Satellite TV and international channels are available in the living room and both bedrooms. There is heating throughout. A pushchair can be rented; a crib and high chairs are provided. An airport pick-up service is available on demand for an additional fee. A bus stop running to the beach and nearby towns is a 5-minute walk from the property. The rental price includes: electricity, water, heating, Wi-Fi. Linen/towels, private parking and a light dinner and breakfast for the first day as a Welcome from your hosts. Check in after 9pm will incur a €20 charged payable on arrival. The rate listed is for between 4 adults and 2 kids. The host does offer a reduced rate for 3 adults and 1 child up to 4 years old. Additional adults up to 6 total are 10€ per person each night. Please contact the host for accurate pricing. A lease agreement and an inventory must be signed on arrival. The host will send the lease agreement before arrival for approval.

About the Location

The house is located in an avocado grove in a residential area in the city of Tacoronte, in northern Tenerife. It is surrounded by trees, avocados and oranges along with a private vineyard. It is a quiet area with easy access to the main road and motorway connection to the north and south of the islands. The northern airport is a 15-minute drive and the southern airport is a 50-minute drive. A pick up service is available. There are good public transport links nearby, although car hire is the easiest way to get around. The residence is 20 minutes from Santa Cruz de Tenerife and 20 minutes from Puerto de la Cruz. The City Centre, Pharmacy and many shops are a 5 minute walk away.

Accommodation Details

This 2-story house has a living room with dining area, fully-equipped modern kitchen, and 3 bedrooms. There is a private patio with garden plus 3 terraces upstairs. The children’s room has a bunk bed and a single bed especially designed for children; the master bedroom has a double bed and ensuite bathroom and there is a sofa bed in the office, sleeping 1. There is an additional bathroom.

Style Notes

This cozy, comfortable Canarian house has plenty of classic style, white walls to reflect the heat and wood accents. Bedrooms have rattan chairs, beds with leather headboards and wood shuttered windows to keep the heat out/ in as required. The interior design is typical, charming Canarian design. We love the pink exterior, the clean lines of the terrace space and the warm, comfortable style throughout.

When a host accepts your booking, we will automatically charge your card 30% of the total cost of the stay on acceptance if the check in date is more than 6 weeks away. We will send you a balance payment reminder at 6 weeks before check in and you will be required to submit your payment to finalise your reservation. If a host accepts your booking and the check in date is 6 weeks away or less, we will charge your card 100% of the total cost of the stay on acceptance.
Cancellation policy
2-4 weeks before the check in date - 25% will be refunded. Cancellations made 2 weeks or less before check in - no refund. We strongly recommend that guests take out adequate travel insurance to cover all eventualities.

Hello! We are two work mates who are renting this property in Valencia and another three properties in Tenerife. The owners are interior designers and this reflects in the properties. Villa Luz is surrounded by orange groves and Casa Laurel In Tenerife north by avocados and flowers.
