Perks for the Parents

This sweet, compact apartment in the Bastille area of central Paris is walking distance from the Marais and other downtown neighborhoods and well set up for a young family. It sleeps up to 5 + 2. There is a family-sized dining area for 4 people and the children's bedroom is filled with toys. The owners can also give you the contact details of a trusted babysitter. There is a balcony with a small table for sunny morning coffee or dinner à deux.

Why Kids Love it

The residence has plenty of toys, games, DVD and books for kids under 7. The children's bedroom is spacious enough for children to play in it. There are 2 booster seats for the dining space; a stroller, toddler bed, scooter and tricycle can be provided on request. The apartment is a short walk from a little children's park and walking distance from many downtown attractions.

Things to Know

Minimum stay: 2 nights, 7 nights in July/August holidays. The flat is on the 5th floor of a walk-up building but strollers can be left on the ground floor or in dedicated locked bicycle storage. It is in the 11th arrondissement. The building is monitored by a housekeeper who lives in the building next door. The windows and the balcony are safe. You can park easily in the area but car rental may not be necessary with metro and bus lines running nearby. WiFi included.

About the Location

This central location in this Bastille area makes a Paris stay with kids super easy. The property is walking distance from all downtown neighborhoods; it is 10 minutes on foot to the beautiful Place des Vosges and the Marais area and Republique, and 2 minutes on foot to Place de la Bastille. There are several metro lines nearby (1 - 5 - 8 - 9) and many buses run to the city center from the area. Nearby there are small children's parks, family-friendly restaurants and bars, many shops and late-night supermarkets.

Accommodation Details

This 3-bedroom, 1-bathroom 68m² apartment is on 1 level. It has an open plan kitchen and living room with a dining table seating up to 4 adults and 2 kids and access to a balcony. There are 2 children’s bedrooms: 1 has a bunkbed sleeping 2 and 1 has a single bed. The parent’s bedroom has a full / double bed and direct access to the balcony. It is separated from the living-room by a glass-wall. A travel crib can be added to either room. The family bathroom has a tub.

Style Notes

Bright, light, sunny and modern. The apartment has white walls with a beautiful wooden floor and a mix of modern and traditional furniture. The kids’ room has a fun bunkbed with soft and pleasant colors, a rug to play on comfortably and a cute vintage desk. It is very sunny and calm, with views over Paris’ roofs in the living room. We love the stylish bright yellow couch and geometric rug in the living room, the sizeable kitchen (for Paris), and the stacks of toys in the kids’ rooms.

Payment policy
When a host accepts your booking, we will automatically charge your card 30% of the total cost of the stay on acceptance if the check in date is more than 6 weeks away. We will send you a balance payment reminder at 6 weeks before check in and you will be required to submit your payment to finalise your reservation. If a host accepts your booking and the check in date is 6 weeks away or less, we will charge your card 100% of the total cost of the stay on acceptance.
Cancellation policy
For cancellations notified up to 6 weeks before the check in date, guests will receive a refund of any amount paid less 10% of the total cost of the booking. For cancellations notified at 6 weeks or less before the check in date, no refunds are given unless the host agrees. If a host does agree to a full or partial refund, this amount will be returned to the guest less 10% of the total cost of the booking. Some hosts will also allow a stay to be rescheduled. Guests should contact their host for further information regarding any request to change the dates of a stay.

We are parents of 2 daughters, Léontine and Louison, aged 10 and 13, and of one son, 5yo, called Gabriel ! We love travelling with our kids and we expect to find a family-friendly place where we could easily visit and enjoy the area, as you can do from our flat in the center of Paris !

We had a very warm welcome at Residence Keller with a nice bottle of wine and handy tips for restaurants and activities in the surroundings. It's a very cosy decorated and centrally located appartment near the subway and the perfect spot to soak up the vibrant city life with your family.

We had a lovely stay at Keller residence. The host was so very accommodating. It was a very cozy and tastefully decorated apartment in a great location and my children loved that there were toys to play with. A great non-tourist part of Paris, next to restaurants and cafes. I would highly recommend this place!
