Why Kids Love it

The kids will love the proximity to the main attractions of Paris that can be easily reached without long journeys. The TV in the living room is also a draw and having space to play and relax at the end of the day like a Parisienne. The Jardin des Tuilleries (Tuileries Garden), is the capital’s biggest, and arguably most beautiful park, with tree-lined boulevards, a great kids’ playground, carousel, trampoline and a host of kids’ activities – it’s a do-able 20-minute walk.

About the Location

This residence is located in the 1st arrondissement of Paris, where many of the city’s cultural and historic treasures are found. The jewel in the crown is Le Louvre (15 mins on foot), which is a must-see. But there’s also Le Centre Pompidou (6 mins on foot) and Place de la Concorde (30 mins), an impressive public square. Rue St Honore is the destination for retail therapy and rue Rivoli and the banks of the Siene are perfect for a stroll. Châtelet Metro station is 1 minute from the apartment, where you can connect to metro lines 1, 4, 7, 11 & 14. Alternatively, for the RER A, B & D, Châtelet Les Halles station is a 3-minute walk.

Accommodation Details

This Parisian apartment has 2 bedrooms and 1 bathroom on 1 floor and is on the 2nd floor with an elevator. There is a fully equipped separate kitchen and a living and dining room with a TV and French doors. The corner sofa can be converted into a double sofa bed. The dining room has a table seating up to 6. The master bedroom has a queensize bed and bedroom 2 is used as an office space with a desk and chair, but can be converted into a bedroom with the single sofa bed, suitable for a child. The bathroom has a walk-in shower, basin and washing machine. There is a separate half bathroom near the entrance of the apartment.

This light-filled and spacious apartment is full of design touches to delight including the gold light fitting in the living room to the quirky floral wallpaper and the deep turquoise mermaid-esque tiles in the bathroom. You can scale this apartment up or down to suit your needs with many of the beds as comfortable sofabeds. Fittings and furniture are strictly contemporary and set off with house plants and parquet flooring. We love the large living area for relaxing after a day’s sightseeing, the practical kitchen and the superb central location.
