Style Notes

Artistic mansion. This 340m2 Dutch mansion was fully renovated in 2016 by the current Dutch/German owners. Bright, grand and modern, the house has high ceilings and plenty of light from the large windows. The hosts have decorated their home with a simple white palette, adorned with lots of art on the walls, quirky artifacts and colorful pops of color. The style is sophisticated, artsy and contemporary, complemented by classic features such as parquet wooden floors and traditional windows. We love the chunky black fireplaces, the luxurious marble tiled bathrooms and the spectacular brass light fixture in the parents’ suite.

Hi! We are a family of five living in the beautiful Dutch town of the Hague. We have three lovely children aged 7, 6 and 4.

The Hague, The Netherlands

Dune-backed beaches and city-style culture

The Netherland’s third largest city is right on the North Sea, with dune-backed beaches busy with watersports fans in the busy summer months. It’s a great location for a city, culture and beach vacation, being home to many great museums including the Voorlinden contemporary art gallery. Trains run regularly to Amsterdam for easy day-trips and the whole of the Dutch coast is easy to explore from here.
