Perks for the Parents

With fabulous views of the bay, this 2-bedroom apartment on the quiet island of Tinos makes a great base for a relaxed getaway in the Aegean. It is very close to Tinos town and the port for morning/evening walks and is a few minutes’ walk from the closest beach. The apartment has a large kitchen and eating areas inside and out, and a washing machine, making it easy for families. With ferry links to Andros and Mykonos, it is well located for an island-hopping vacation.

Why Kids Love it

There is plenty of space for kids to play and a crib, high chair and some toys can be provided on request. Best of all, the house is a few steps from Stavros beach with a series of sandy beaches protected from the wind and ideal for children within a short walk. Close by there are cobblestone beaches and rocks perfect for fishing. The second bedroom has 2 twin beds and there is a sofa bed in the main living space to sleep a further 1-2 children.

Things to Know

Minimum stay: 3 days. The house is laid out on 1 level with a few steps within the property and outside it - very young toddlers may need extra supervision. Three further apartments next to this one are available for a larger group stay. The bathroom has a shower, not a tub. Both bedrooms open on to a veranda with views of the mountains. Towels and linens are provided. There is free WiFi. Cleaning service provided twice a week. Free parking at the premises.

About the Location

The house is in a unique spot on a peninsula with a 360° panoramic view of the Aegean Sea and its islands, the ancient Venetian port and the church of Stavros, along with the mountains and the town of Tinos. The island of Tinos is in the heart of the Cyclades Islands, close to Mykonos and Andros, and is reachable by ferry from Athens and other islands nearby. There is a heliport on the island. It is very quiet yet close to facilities including supermarkets, restaurants and banks.

Accommodation Details

This apartment has 2 bedrooms, 1 with 2 twin beds and 1 with a full/double bed, plus a bathroom with shower and a kitchen/living room with sofa bed. The outdoor space includes a large veranda with sea views at the front of the house, a veranda with mountain views at the back and a garden with beach chairs.

Style Notes

Classically Greek. The apartment has modern fixtures and fittings and updated furniture along with a Cycladic color scheme: blue and white. All the furniture was hand designed by the owner of the house and includes very large wardrobes. Simple and minimal in style, the apartment has white tiled floors, white-painted wooden tables and a lush flower-filled garden.

Mom of a 3.5 years old unstoppable baby girl, I love traveling with my kid and discover new places. I know the importance of a safe house with toys and baby equipment for a relaxed and fun holiday and that's why I decided to list on Kid & Coe my summer houses.

I highly recommend this accommodation. The host Xenia is very helpful in everything you need. All is as described. It`s very clean and well equipped. We went there with two small children, who felt very comfortable The communication with xenia was uncomplicated and she always answers very quickly. Tinos is a quiet island that is not crowded even in summer. The bus stop to Kionia (Beach) and Tinos (Town) is right in front of the property. There is also a small beach within two minutes walking distance.

Tinos, Greek Islands

Quiet hillsides and sleepy villages

This sleepy island in the heart of the Cyclades has almost completely missed out on mass tourism. Expect a busy port but beyond it, quiet hillsides, villages built into rocks and beautiful beaches. Unspoilt and traditional, the local food, including wild artichokes and local cheeses, is authentic and delicious. Ferries run to Mykonos for daytrips if the peace and quiet gets too much.
