Nestled in a classic apartment building with a private keyed elevator offering easy access for those with strollers, and little ones, this residence is the perfect city base for families. Recently renovated it offers plenty of style and comfort with roomy open style plan living including a sociable chef’s grade kitchen and central AC for keeping cool during the warmer months. The primary bedroom offers additional luxury, and peace, tucked away at the back with a kingsize bed and an ensuite bathroom with a soaking tub and double sinks. There are plenty of restaurants, cafes and parks on the doorstep including Rockafeller and Pier 25 with its glorious views of New York harbor. For those wanting to explore the wider city there are several Subway stations just minutes’ walk from the apartment block.
Why Kids Love it
Kids will love this relaxed city base with space to play, crawl and chill, alongside plenty of toys to play with. The kids’ bedroom is away from the living spaces providing a quiet night’s sleep while doubling as a fun play space with bunk beds (including organic mattresses and bedding), a crafting desk, a doll’s house and toys. There is an additional nursery space which offers extra room for fun and games when needed. There are Sonos speakers and a surround sound LG television in the den for movie screenings and general chill time. There’s plenty on the doorstep to tempt the kids outside too from the legendary pancakes at Bubby’s restaurant just a few doors down to the newly renovated Pier 25 playground a short stroll down the block. The hosts are more than happy to advise on local activities for kids, and can also provide a crib, a changing table, a baby bath, bed rails and local babysitter recommendations.
Things to Know
Minimum stay: 30 nights. The apartment is accessible via an elevator from the building's raised loading dock lobby. The hosts have young kids of their own and the flat is completely safe and appropriate for kids of all ages. There is WiFi, air conditioning and a washer/dryer for convenience. Housekeeping services are available, please ask the hosts for more information. There is no outdoor space but there is a park 2 blocks away. For those bringing a car, parking is available on a first come, first served basis on the block or in local lots. Sorry, no pets.
About the Location
This residence is located in New York’s Tribeca neighborhood, bordering Soho, Lower Manhattan and Little Italy. It’s home to cobblestone streets, farmer’s markets, historic warehouse buildings, famous restaurants, and the legendary Tribeca Film Festival. There are several family-oriented restaurants on the same block under a minute’s walk away, with a Whole Foods and a wine store nearby for groceries. For green space, there are several playgrounds within a few blocks including Pier 25 at Hudson River Park, an 8-minute stroll away, with its newly renovated play area for kids as well as a climbing wall, mini golf, tennis, a skate park and kayaking in the summer. Rockefeller and Washington Market parks are around a 10-minute walk, perfect for picnics, with outdoor movie screenings at the latter during the warmer months. For those wishing to explore the wider city, there are several subway stations, including Franklin and Canal Street, under a 5-minute walk away. Newark and LaGuardia are the nearest airports, around 40 minutes by cab.
Accommodation Details
The residence has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms set over 1 floor. To access the apartment, guests take the private keyed elevator from the downstairs lobby which opens directly onto the loft apartment. The central living areas are open plan in style, comprising of a large living 'room' space with sofas, chairs and a coffee table; a smart, marble dining table seating 6 and a chef’s grade kitchen just behind which is fully stocked including a sub-zero refrigerator, a dishwasher and a semi-island. There is a utility room next to the kitchen with a washer/dryer. Adjacent to the kitchen is a TV den/media room with a large, surround sound TV, a Sonos player and sofas. The bedrooms are towards the back of the apartment to provide additional privacy and quiet. They include a primary with a kingsize bed, a desk, a TV and an ensuite with a bath and shower, and a kids’ room with a bunk bed sleeping 2 with toys and a mini desk. This bedroom has use of a second separate bathroom also with a bathtub and a shower. There is a third room that is currently set up as a nursery with a crib but can also be used as a work or play space as required.

Tribecca Loft. Recently renovated with exposed brick walls, hardwood floors and a touch of mid-century glamour, this residence is as relaxing as it is stylish. Vintage furniture is mixed with luxury modern pieces including a Restoration Hardware Cloud Sofa for ultimate post city relaxation. There is custom Flor carpeting in the nursery/playroom and cozy rugs and textiles throughout adding softness and colour. We love the open plan flow of the apartment with plenty of space to both chill and socialise, whether enjoying an atmospheric dinner on the beautiful marble dining table or unwinding with a good book or morning coffee on the sofas by the apartment's classic windows.
