The spacious rooms are bathed in light and include a master bedroom and second bedroom with 3 twin beds. Bathrooms are finished with marble. The open plan living space is ideal for entertaining; a fully-equipped kitchen makes life easier. Situated among the villages, vineyards and golden hills of Tuscany, the property has a huge shared garden, free tennis court, swimming pools, playground and a parking space. There is a restaurant onsite and a bakery delivers bread and pastries each morning.

Why Kids Love it

Part of an estate focusing on family travel, the apartment is set up for kids with a bedroom with 3 twin beds, and has plenty of space to play inside and out. Cribs and high chairs are provided along with wooden toys, books, Lego, Playmobil and more. The grounds, shared with other apartments in the estate, include spacious gardens, play spaces with a huge wooden climbing frame and a replica of Christopher Columbus’ ship, 2 swimming pools and a tennis court. One pool has a lazy river current system. The pools are gated and have a rope fence. Mountain bikes are available to rent. With other apartments in the complex rented to families, there will be new friends to play with.

Things to Know

Minimum stay: 7 days 9 June - 9 September, outside these dates, 4 days. Check in is from 4pm, check out from 9pm. IMPORTANT NOTE RE EXTRA CHARGES: 1) A tourist tax of €2 per day is taken for all guests above the age of 12, up to a maximum of €6 per person per stay and is to be paid to the host on arrival, 2) A security deposit of €300 paid on arrival, 3) On request, daily heating costs €20 per day. The apartment is on the first floor with no elevator; there are stair gates. The hosts provide a free crib and high chair, a box of toys, basic toiletries, WiFi and more. There is free private parking and concierge/tourist information services are available. There is a restaurant at the bottom of the villa; fresh bread and pastries are delivered every morning from a friend’s bakery. Bike rental is available by the day or week, with bikes for men, women and children on offer. Cooking classes, wine tours and Italian lessons can be arranged. Airport pick up possible by arrangement. A breakfast basket is provided and basic grocery shopping can be offered pre-arrival. The apartment has a washing machine, dishwasher and oven. Restaurant open June-September. Note that there is no TV. On request and for an extra fee, heating is available.

About the Location

The apartment is 4 km from Saline di Volterra in the heart of rural Tuscany. This rural area offers a glimpse of Tuscany’s famous charms: medieval hilltop villages, vineyards, rolling hills and renowned centers of culture. San Gimignano and Siena are an easy drive away, and the Leaning Tower of Pisa is an hour away. Cecina and Bibbona’s beaches are just over 30 minutes’ drive away and there are further beautiful beaches and seaside village reachable on a day trip. It is a 1.5 hour drive from Florence, 1 hour 20 minutes from Siena and just over 2 hours from Perugia, all of which have airports. Car rental is essential - the nearest shop, pharmacy and grocery store is a 5-minute drive away in the nearest village, with larger shops and restaurants in Volterra, a 10-15-minute drive away.

There are 2 bedrooms - 1 with a kingsize bed and a second bedroom with 3 twin beds. A crib and travel crib can be added. The apartment has a private terrace with table and chairs, suitable for outdoor eating, and is part of a wider estate with gardens, 2 shared swimming pools, a tennis court, a restaurant and more.

Style Notes

Modern Italian. Walls are semi-exposed, floors are tiled and the furnishings are a blend of vintage and ultra modern. The aesthetic is crisp, clean and comfortable; the building has been sensitively restored, with wooden beams, flagstones and marble all sourced in Italy. There is a hand-crafted cotto floor and local ceramics line the shelves, from a modernist porcelain collection to contemporary pieces. Unique furniture pieces come from Italy’s finest antique markets.

Payment policy
When a host accepts your booking, we will automatically charge your card 30% of the total cost of the stay on acceptance if the check in date is more than 6 weeks away. We will send you a balance payment reminder at 6 weeks before check in and you will be required to submit your payment to finalise your reservation. If a host accepts your booking and the check in date is 6 weeks away or less, we will charge your card 100% of the total cost of the stay on acceptance.
Cancellation policy
1. Cancelation or amendment of the online booking must be done by telephone or by e-mail. In case of telephone cancelation or amendment request they shall take effect, if the Customer confirms such a request in writing or by e-mail. 2. Customer has the right to cancel the booking: a. within 7 days of receiving confirmation e-mail, with the right to prompt refund of any and all payments made to Tuscany Forever; b. later than within the deadline specified in the provision above, but 21 days prior to the Arrival Date, in which case Tuscany Forever shall have the right to retain any Advance payments. 3. Customer declares the awareness of the fact that the availability of services and facilities provided by Tuscany Forever Estate depends on the season of the year. Detailed information on the availability of services and facilities during the booked period can be acquired from Tuscany Forever. 4. Tuscany Forever reserves the right to cancel or amend the booking in case of extraordinary objectively justified circumstances, such as force majeure or other circumstances beyond its control make the fulfillment of the booking terms impossible. Customer shall be informed of the amendments or cancelation promptly. If cancelation shall be required, the Customer shall have the right to full refund of any and all payments. In addition to the host’s policy which is listed here, all cancellations are subject to a Kid & Coe cancellation fee of 15% of the booking total.

Lovely villa with great views over the Tuscan Hills..well equipped kitchen. Very attentive host No high chair when we first arrived, but after a message was sent to the host, a chair was delivered within 10 minutes.
