Perks for the Parents

This apartment with a garden and shared pool is close to local wineries and surrounded by the rolling hills of Umbria. It sleeps up to 5. It is a 5-minute walk to the Azienda Agricola Valdangius winery where there are wines and olive oil to taste. Within an hour’s drive you can be horseback-riding, visiting the Marmore waterfalls or Città della Domenica zoo, and enjoying the Tavernelle Aquatic Park.

Why Kids Love it

The private gardens around the apartment are a safe play to play. Kids will enjoy splashing and swimming in the pool. High chairs and cribs with bumpers can be provided on request. The Perugina chocolate factory is a short drive away, and there is truffle-hunting, country walks, and many flavors of gelato to try. The location makes a day trip to the beach possible too - it's 1.5 hours' drive away.

Things to Know

Minimum stay: 2 nights most of the year; July and August 7 nights Saturday-Saturday only. Zefiro is one of 5 properties that make up a countryside estate; the pool is shared with the other villas. The entire estate - The Fonte Sala Estate - can also be rented as a whole. The pool is gated. There are a few steps internally to get to the bedrooms. Car hire is essential to get around and explore the area. There is parking close to the apartment. Other amenities include a dishwasher, bed rails for little ones, a TV and washer/ dryer. Please request crib and high chair on booking.

About the Location

The residence is in the heart of Umbrian countryside, 6 km from the medieval hill towns of Montefalco and Bevagna and 30-40 minutes from the city of Perugia. The property is surrounded by 12 hectares of organic olive groves and vineyards of the Fonte Sala estate and there is a local bar/restaurant within walking distance. The closest international airport is in Perugia, just under an hour away, with Rome’s airports approximately 2 hours’ drive away.

Accommodation Details

The ground floor garden apartment has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms on 1 floor. There is an open plan living / dining room with French doors that open to the garden and a dining table seating 6. A well-equipped kitchen has an original fireplace and doors to the garden. The 3 bedrooms have a double bed, 2 twin / single beds and a single bed respectively. There are 2 full bathrooms with showers and tubs. Outside, the apartment has a private garden and terrace with outdoor dining table and chairs and a shared pool.

Style Notes

Country chic. This rustic retreat is a family-owned property and is furnished with pieces that have been handed down through generations or found locally. The high-vaulted ceilings give a feeling of space and the kitchen and living room retain the original arches of the old stables and can be shuttered to keep the house cool in the long, hot days. The table under the shade of a lovely old tree in the garden is perfect for meals dining on local produce, wines and olives. We love the Italian charm and rustic simplicity.

Payment policy
When a host accepts your booking, we will automatically charge your card 30% of the total cost of the stay on acceptance if the check in date is more than 6 weeks away. We will send you a balance payment reminder at 6 weeks before check in and you will be required to submit your payment to finalise your reservation. If a host accepts your booking and the check in date is 6 weeks away or less, we will charge your card 100% of the total cost of the stay on acceptance.
Cancellation policy
For cancellations notified up to 6 weeks before the check in date, guests will receive a refund of any amount paid less 15% of the total cost of the booking. For cancellations notified at 6 weeks or less before the check in date, no refunds are given unless the host agrees. If a host does agree to a full or partial refund, this amount will be returned to the guest less 15% of the total cost of the booking. Some hosts will also allow a stay to be rescheduled. Guests should contact their host for further information regarding any request to change the dates of a stay.
