This spacious 3 bedroom duplex on a tree-lined street in New York City’s beautiful Upper West Side sleeps 2 adults and 2 school-aged children. A private, enclosed outdoor garden and patio area allows children to safely run about and play outside. Two separate living rooms invite families to relax and chat together or watch a sports match on the flat-screen TV. The fully-stocked chef’s kitchen has a center island perfect for little helpers to assist with family meal preparation and a chalkboard wall to bring out the inner artist in everyone. We love the vintage design touches throughout and the beautiful dining room with whitewashed brick, exposed beams, and a unique chair swing sure to delight both children and the young at heart. Skateboards, bicycles, and musical instruments add interest for older children and teens. Close to many great playgrounds, the residence is only half a block from Central Park and a 5 minute walk to Whole Foods for quick and easy grocery shopping. A subway station just around the corner conveniently connects you to the city’s best attractions. After the kids have drifted off to sleep, parents can set the ambiance with a selection from the vast record library and relax with a glass of wine.

Upper West Side, Manhattan

Museums, parks and green paths

Famously family-friendly, the Upper West Side is a neighborhood of quiet residential streets, on-demand conveniences and green paths along the Hudson River. Build a life-size dinosaur skeleton at the American Museum of Natural History; play in Central Park, Riverside Park or along the Hudson River Greenway, and drop into the Children’s Museum of Manhattan.

This was the perfect place for our family to land for 2 weeks in NYC. The location is centrally located so very convenient to get anywhere in the city, and we especially loved being a half a block away from the park! Coming home was always very comfortable, with everything you could need in the kitchen, living rooms, and including the most comfortable beds we have ever slept in! We would highly recommend this spot to any other family that is traveling to the city, and wants to feel at home while visiting this big city.

What an absolutely lovely home--tons of space, outfitted with anything you would need, and THE BEST LOCATION EVER! Whole Foods and Trader Joe's are a block away--subway is on the corner, Central Park is a 30 second walk. Seriously, this place is a gem and the owners are super friendly and helpful. If you are looking for a (slightly) more chill place to set up shop during your time in NYC, I cannot recommend this home enough.

We absolutley loved staying here, and really benefitted from the fully stocked kitchen, separate and quiet sleeping areas, and multiple rooms to hang out in. Perhaps not the best spot for very young children (<5), but we still had an absolutely blast. Ryan and Tara have a beautiful space in a great location. We'd love to stay here again.

This apartment proved a fabulous base for our stay in New York. It is lovely, spacious, comfortable and beautifully decorated apartment. The location is excellent. Right by Central Park and less than a block from the Metro. Also a quiet street and nice neighbourhood. I would certainly recommend to other families. We also used the bikes for a great ride round Central Park and the riverside. All, in all it was just what we were hoping for.
