Perks for the Parents

Set on a quiet country lane near the hilltop village of Fayence in the South of France, this rural family home has some of the best views in Provence and a private saltwater pool. It sleeps 10 + 1. Refuel your energy levels at this peaceful countryside property, where kids can happily and safely enjoy the half-acre of Mediterranean gardens and private pool. Enjoy alfresco pool-side dining with the outdoor summer kitchen, pizza oven, and Weber barbecue, framed by a scenic landscape: the property has extensive, stunning views stretching out across the Mediterranean coastal mountain range, the Esterel Massif and the surrounding countryside below. The property is ideal for families with children, being extremely private and not overlooked in any way, and the bedrooms are split across 2 floors, so there is space to accommodate friends, grandparents or nannies.

Why Kids Love it

The whole family will enjoy spending warm summer days splashing in the saltwater swimming pool or wandering around the Provençal garden, which has rambling terraces dotted with olive trees, herbs, jasmine, and lavender. Indoors, the hosts have small toys, books, DVDs and board games, but this is a great place to explore the great outdoors: there are hiking trails from the entrance to the house, and there’s an opportunity to try cycling and off-road cycling in the quiet rural surrounding areas. It’s a short drive to access tennis, gliding, horse-riding, sailing, or kayaking - ask the hosts for details. Lac de Saint-Cassien (20 minutes’ drive) is a popular spot for families nearby, which has a beautiful freshwater lake with beaches, waterside restaurants, water sports, swimming, pedalos and angling - the lake is also known to be one of the best in the region for carp fishing.

French country chic. This Provençal home is lovingly decorated and full of charm, offering a calming escape from daily stress with a modern country approach in styling. It’s packed full of traditional features, such as the stone fireplace, split level steps and exposed ceiling beams. The hosts have added luxurious contemporary touches such as the chic outdoor furniture, modern bathroom suites and a natural, neutral palette throughout.
