A 17th century chateau, nestled within a 55-acre vineyard in the heart of Provence, which can be hired exclusively or by individual rooms. The largest room sleeps 4; the whole estate sleeps 28. This family-focused estate will allow you to enjoy a relaxing stay in one of the most beautiful rural locations - the perfect place to get away from it all. Retreat to the sauna to relax, work up a sweat in the fitness room or simply spend your days tasting the vineyard’s delicious wines for a true taste of Provence.

Why Kids Love it

Children of all ages will love exploring the grounds of this vast estate. There’s a heated swimming pool outside, with shaded deck chairs for lazy afternoon play. For active kids, there’s a tennis court and a petanque court. Families can also explore the surrounding forests around the vineyards, spotting the estate’s goats, rabbits and hens. When it’s time to relax, take turns on the grand piano, gather round the fireplace or explore the books in the age-old library.

Things to Know

Minimum stay: 2 nights. Check-in from 3pm, check-out at 12pm. Late departure for whole property buy outs is at 5pm (€2000 extra and upon availability). City taxes are included in rates. All rooms have a private bathroom with either a shower or bathtub. Bed linen, bath linen and final cleaning are included in the rates. There is an equipped kitchen available for guest use, guests must provide their own food. There is a washer and dryer available as well, guests provide their own detergent. Cribs can be provided free of charge to any room in the estate. The whole estate is available to rent exclusively, for a total of 28 guests. Rates for exclusive use range from €12K for 2 nights in low season (1 October to 30 April) to €36760 for 7 nights in high season (1 May to 30 September). The host team offer a hotel-style service and are happy to assist guests with any requests during their stay, from airport transfers, wine tasting experiences or private visits to the cellar, to massages or trips to local places of interest. Breakfast is included in rates and is served every morning in the Orangerie. Picnics can be ordered for lunch, to be enjoyed in the vineyards of the estate. The estate also has a heliport for private air travel.

About the Location

The estate is surrounded by 220 hectares of forest, on the heights of Lorgues village in Provence. There are spectacular views of vines as far as the eye can see, century-old trees and olive groves. The grounds surrounding the chateau are filled with beautiful flora and fauna, from the small lake with water lilies, to the greenhouse of aromatic herbs. The village is only 10 minutes by car and it’s just 45 minutes from Saint Tropez. It’s 1.5 hours from both Marseille and Nice airports.

Accommodation Details

There are 12 rooms in total, which can be rented individually or hired all together for exclusive use. Shared spaces include a large living room, the library and a games room. Standard double rooms: there are multiple double rooms, each with queensize beds. There is 1 accessible room on the ground floor. The Superior Room: There are two duplex superior rooms: downstairs is the bedroom, upstairs is the bathroom with a shower and/or bathtub. The view is of the Chateau's grounds and the swimming pool. Family suites: 2 suites in the building can sleep up to 4, with a king bed and 2 twin beds. They look out over the vineyards and pool. Classic suites: Larger room with 1 double bed and can accommodate an extra bed for a child The Syrah Suite: Sleeps 3. The largest of the suites located in one of the turrets of the 17th century building. It has a king size bed, room for an additional single bed, and offers views of the grounds and the vineyards, a bathroom with a whirlpool tub, a separate shower and a separated enclosed toilet. Entire estate: sleeps up to 28 guests in 12 rooms.

Style Notes

Historic chateau. This picturesque 17th century building is filled with architectural features and period flair, from exposed wooden ceiling beams and spiral staircases to the original windows. The hosts have chosen neutral white and beige tones for a traditional, rural look. We love the authentic old stone flooring in the living room, the original fireplaces and the pretty French blue shutters outside.

Payment policy
Terms for full buy out only (individual room bookings will follow standard Kid & Coe policies): 40% deposit of the total amount of the stay is due upon booking. The balance (60%) is due 1 month before the check in. Upon check in, 50% of the total amount will be held for security deposit (pre-authorization or bank check) in case of damage. This hold is released few days after check out if no damage occurred. Late departure for whole property buy outs is at 5pm (€2000 extra and upon availability). City taxes are included in rates.
Cancellation policy
For individual room bookings, a cancellation is allowed until 48 hours before check in. Within 48 hours of check in 100% of the booking will be charged. If the entire property is booked out, no cancellation is possible save written agreement by said Parties. Should Lessee abandon leasing the residence, the totality of the rent remains due.
