A riverside apartment in Vauxhall, south London with a private balcony and unbeatable views of the Thames. It sleeps 4. This is a really fun part of London for parents, with plenty of bars and restaurants nearby, as well as riverside paths to walk or run along and The Oval cricket stadium nearby (15 minutes’ walk) for live matches and summer evening events.

Why Kids Love it

While there aren’t any toys or books for little kids, there’s plenty for children to do in the area. It’s a short walk to Vauxhall Park, where there is a playground and a model village, as well as Vauxhall Pleasure Gardens, which has a soccer pitch and horse riding area. Older kids and teens can visit the nearby climbing center, or head over Vauxhall Bridge to discover Tate Britain.

Things to Know

No smoking, pets or parties. The lead guest must be at least 25 years old. All guests will receive a rental agreement prior to their stay which must be signed and submitted. There is a lift in the building, which you can take up to the 8th floor to reach the apartment.

About the Location

The apartment is located in St George’s Wharf, a pedestrianized complex right on the river in Vauxhall. It’s just 7 minutes’ walk to Vauxhall subway station, for trains into the center of London. This area is well located for visiting Buckingham Palace, St James’s Park, Westminster and the South Bank. Heathrow airport is around 1 hour away by car or train.

Accommodation Details

The property has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms, all set on 1 floor. There is an open plan kitchen/living/dining room, with fantastic views of the River Thames and doors to the balcony. Both bedrooms have king beds and TVs; the primary bedroom has doors to the balcony. The modern bathroom boasts a shower-over-bath.

Style Notes

Modern and minimal. This simple pied-a-terre is decorated with neutral tones and classic furnishings, to keep the space uncomplicated. We love the dark stone kitchen countertops, the industrial-style pillar in the bedrooms and those floor-to-ceiling windows in the bedrooms.

When a host accepts your booking, we will automatically charge your card 30% of the total cost of the stay on acceptance if the check in date is more than 6 weeks away. We will send you a balance payment reminder at 6 weeks before check in and you will be required to submit your payment to finalise your reservation. If a host accepts your booking and the check in date is 6 weeks away or less, we will charge your card 100% of the total cost of the stay on acceptance.
Cancellation policy
Full refund (less 3% processing fee) when cancelling at least 5 days before arrival, 50% refund if cancelling less than 5 days before arrival.
