About the Location

The residence is in the Venice Beach area of Los Angeles, a 10-minute bike ride from the beach, or 20 minutes on foot. It is in an extremely bikeable and walkable area; much of Venice is accessible from this location. Downtown Los Angeles is a 30-minute drive away and LAX international airport is a 15-minute drive away.

Accommodation Details

This 2-bedroom, 2-bathroom property is set over 1 level and has a largely open plan layout, with kitchen, dining area and lounges open to each other. There are multiple gated yards outside where kids can play safely. The house has 2 bedrooms: a master bedroom with kingsize bed and a children's room with bunk beds, filled with toys and books. There is also a detached studio that can be used as a further guest room, with a queen sofa bed. Outdoor space includes stone dining patios and decks, verdant landscaping and a 5-person hot tub. Bathrooms include tubs and showers, and lots of natural light.

Style Notes

Modern eclectic. This comfortable and inviting rental in Venice is ideal for a family, with plenty of design touches to draw the eye. There are characterful knick-knacks, mirrors and mid-century furniture, and a beautiful full bathroom in the backyard studio with clawfoot tub for a soak at the end of the day. The lounge has multiple seating areas, an open fireplace, hardwood flooring and abundant plants. We love the location, the super fun child-focused touches and the compact kitchen, fully set up with a KitchenAid mixer, Belfast sink, stove and family-sized fridge.

Cancellation policy
A full refund will be given for cancellations made within 48 hours of booking (less $150 cancellation fee) if the check in date is more than 6 weeks away. Once a booking is confirmed, if the check in date is more than 6 weeks away and the guest wishes to cancel, the host will refund 50% of the total deposit paid. No refunds for cancellations that are notified to the host at 6 weeks or less before check in.

Soak up the sights and sounds on foot or by bike at Venice’s Ocean Front Walk - a 2.5 mile impromptu stage full of colorful artists and characters. If you’re feeling brave, Venice beach is a great spot for beginner surfers, otherwise relax in the sand. When you’re done in the sun, explore the manmade canals modeled after its namesake in Italy. Watch for ducks as they dart through the many arched bridges over the canals.

Love love love this house! It's gorgeous, in such a good location with all the amenities you need; and Peter is an excellent host. My daughter loved the slide and the tree house in the front yard. It was our first visit to LA and this house was such a good find. Highly recommended for families. Thanks again Peter and family for sharing your wonderful house.

We and our kids (ages 2 and 5) had the best stay here. They loved the slide out front, all of the toys and the bunk beds. We all loved the beautiful outdoor space and short walk to Superba F&B :) Peter could not have been nicer or more accommodating. Would love to stay here again!

We loved our stay at the Superba Residence! It was the perfect place for our little family, and my kids (5, 2) still refer to it as “the play house”! James was a perfect host, and was extremely responsive during our stay. The only issue, which in my opinion wasn’t much of an issue at all and certainly wasn’t anyone’s fault, is that one of the resident cats seemed to have an upset stomach and so I did have to clean up after him, but I would still give our stay 5 stars!

We had a wonderful stay at the Superba Avenue house: three adults and three kids (10, 5, and 2). It was a super location, in walking distance to Abbott-Kinney and less than 2 miles from Venice Beach. We could also walk to a large grocery store and good eateries. The kids didn't want to leave the house, though! Between the slide, shady veranda, trampoline, and all the books and toys, they were thrilled to be home. We are already dreaming about vacationing at the Superba Avenue house regularly!

The house is awesome. It's basically kid heaven with a separate playroom, toys, books, games, etc. Located on a quiet street in Venice, CA, it was nice to relax at the many living spaces both inside and outside. Peter was readily available for any questions that we had. We really enjoyed our stay and hope to book a return trip to this residence soon. Thanks again!

A perfect stay for us. The house is beautiful and stylish, but built for kids! Loads of toys, a whole separate play room, trampoline, swings. Our three year old was in heaven and we felt relaxed knowing he couldn't really cause any damage. Lovely kitchen, really comfy bed, close to cool coffee shops, and not far from the beach. Can't think of anything that would have made it better. Recommended.

Where to start with this beautiful home! Peter and Marisa went over and above as super gracious hosts... from the very detailed welcome packet and neighborhood suggestions to the beautiful wine, cheese, fruit and cookies waiting for us upon arrival. And of course happy children=happy parents, and our kids couldn't have been more thrilled with the abundance of toys and books available. The separate stocked playroom gave our whole family a little breathing room and they were super cozy in their bunk beds at night. The only problem was having to answer why we can't have a rope swing inside of a playroom at our house! We highly recommend this property and its lovely owners. Thanks for the wonderful experience.

Stayed for 2 wonderful nights with our boys, aged 4 and (almost) 2. The home is overflowing with toys, games, books and places to play, which was fantastic- it meant whenever we were in the house, the boys disappeared and played together, giving us a chance to relax. All the sleeping arrangements were comfortable, the owners kindly set up a crib for us, and our older son loved the bunk beds. We took the beach cruisers, with child seats mounted to the front, for a ride along the Venice boardwalk. It was about 10-15 minutes easy cycle to the beach using the back streets. The neighborhood is quiet and relaxed, and there are lots of great restaurants within walking distance of the house. The owners made us feel very welcome, and were very attentive and accommodating to our requests.

This is a dream rental! The owners went to such great lengths to make us comfortable from the moment we inquired about the property, and every detail was considered with obvious care. From the fresh fruit waiting in the kitchen, to the gorgeous lilies in the dining room, so many thoughtful touches made our stay extra special. Upon entering the house our two-and-a half-year-old daughter said "I like this place!" and she settled in immediately. Over the course of the week that we were there, she fell in love with the playroom and the backyard, and has asked to go back to the house in Los Angeles many times since we returned home. Who could blame her? We feel just the same!
