This luxurious 5-bedroom beach house on the beautiful Washington coastline is surrounded by nothing but sand, waves and views of the Pacific. It sleeps 14 + 1. Parents will appreciate the grown-up décor and the stunning views of the beach. There is a downstairs bedroom and bathroom that is ideal for a nanny, an au pair or grandparents. Try your hand at fishing by chartering a boat to catch your own salmon or halibut. Parents who need to work on location will like the dedicated workspaces and readily available WiFi. All bedrooms have Helix mattresses and there are spa goodies in the master bathroom.
Why Kids Love it
Kids are well catered for here with a library, Lego table and a dedicated games room with toys, a table tennis table, its own TV, and even a gumball machine. Their bedroom has plenty of space for 4 kids and there are games and beanbags there too. The house opens directly onto the beach with space to run, paddle in the waves, build sandcastles or spend happy hours collecting shells and sand dollars. They’ll love tide pooling to discover the diverse marine life that lives along the coast. Out and about there are plenty of other beautiful beaches to choose from. Behind the house is a little forest where they can hunt for mushrooms.
Things to Know
Minimum stay: 2 days. The property has self-check in with a secure key box. There is parking on the driveway. The house is dog friendly – dogs up to 30lbs are accepted at $200 per stay. Please note that there are ungated stairs to the 2nd floor. The games room has no air con / heating. Every bedroom has a smart TV with YouTube programming. Each bathroom is stocked with basic toiletries from Public Goods. For babies there is a pack and play, booster highchair and there’s little people dinnerware. Your stay includes free WiFi and a free EV charger for electric cars in garage.
About the Location
The residence has direct access to the beach at Westport in Washington. Westport is a small coastal town located on the southern tip of Grays Harbor. Nearby beaches include Half Moon Bay, Westhaven State Park, and Twin Harbors State Park. Popular activities include swimming, tidepooling, fishing and hiking – the Westport Light State Park has trails and views of the Pacific Ocean. You can also visit the Grays Harbor National Wildlife Refuge, a protected area home to a wildlife including bald eagles, seals, and ospreys. Spend an afternoon at the Westport Maritime Museum where you can learn about the town’s rich history as a fishing and shipping hub. Fly into Seattle, roughly a 2-hour drive away, or into Portland, about a 2.5 - 3 hour drive.
Accommodation Details
This residence has 5 bedrooms and 3.5 bathrooms with approx. 2600 sq ft of living space. It comfortably sleeps 12 adults / children with a double sofabed for 2 additional guests. On the 1st floor is a large concept living area with a kitchen with breakfast bar, a circular dining table seating 8, a seating snug with 4 easy chairs, and a lounge with a circular sofa and lounger. Also on this level is bedroom 1 with a kingsize bed, blackout shades and closet and separate bathroom. Upstairs is the master bedroom with a kingsize bed and a private deck with a firepit. The private ensuite bathroom has 2 sinks, heated floors, a soaking tub and a walk-in tile and glass shower. Bedroom 3 and 4 have kingsize beds and ensuite bathrooms. The kids’ room sleeps up to 4 with a twin over full bunk bed and a single / twin with a trundle. Outside is an outdoor patio, firepit, hot tub and grill.
Style Notes
Beach luxe. This light-filled beach residence faces the ocean with big views of the sea and surf from every window. The spacious living area has a full kitchen with stainless steel appliances and the natural wood furniture, oversized rattan lampshades and blue sofas beautifully echo the colours outside. A vase of fluffy and leaved grasses and art prints of coral similarly connect the house with its surroundings. Dotted around are sustainable pieces from a designer Seattle-based company. We love the master bathroom with its heated floors and deep soaking tub, the natural tones and textures throughout, and the kids’ games room with entertainment for every age.
