Open and bright with muted colors. The residence was completely renovated in 2016 and has a contemporary Amsterdam style with solid wooden floors, kitchen skylight and Scandinavian design furniture mixed with vintage items and travel keepsakes from South America. With our family of 5 we live in the Watergraafsmeer east part of Amsterdam. We consider our area to be the best part in town, especially with kids😀. Our favourite destinations so far are Argentina (where we have lived for some years), Brazil, South Africa, Europe and Indonesia. Always into more amazing trips! We would love to welcome guests from all over the world and make sure you love Amsterdam as much as we do. Very much looking forward to host you!

Watergraafsmeer, Amsterdam

Vibrant, foodie and family-friendly

This area of east/central Amsterdam is vibrant, green and family friendly, with plenty of parks and playgrounds. It is near to Amsterdam Zoo, the ethnographic Tropenmuseum and plenty of local weekend markets. Nearby you’ll find canals, of course, along with the city’s science park, the Amstel train station and some wonderful restaurants, including De Kas and Dauphine.

We loved staying at the Bunsenstraat Residence for 8 nights and would definitely stay there again! The location is close to a train that is direct from the airport (12min walk) and very close to a tram that goes into the center of Amsterdam (2 min walk). There is a grocery store and Hema (like Target for US travelers) a few minutes walk as well as coffee, ice cream, and a bakery. We LOVED the playground nearby for our 6yo and toddler. The Watergraafsmeer neighborhood was a great choice for us. We didn't drive at all during our stay. Public transportation is incredibly convenient and renting bikes was easy and fun. Blanche was responsive and helpful before our stay and during - answering questions and offering tips. The beds were comfortable, kitchen well equipped and the TOYS were a highlight for our kids. We really appreciated the home being on the ground floor so we didn't have to carry the stroller up stairs. I wish we could have met Blanche's family - she was so friendly! Maybe on another trip to Amsterdam. We'll be back. :)

It was our first time using Kid and Coe and the experience couldn't be better. It makes a huge difference to stay in the house where everything is set up for kids. Blacnhe's home was everything I imagined to be. Wonderful design and space, beauitiful toys and books for kids. The area is not right in the center but we didn't mind it all because everything is reachable by bike. We loved exploring restaurants near by and parks it gave us an opportunity to feel like locals. Hosts were super responsive and very kind. They left food and wine in the fridge and responded to all of our questions within minutes. I am looking forward to return in Amsterdam and stay in the same house:)

My husband, 2.5 year old daughter and I stayed at Blanche's apartment for 5 nights and it was just perfect. We travel a lot and often use airbnb type accommodations and this was the best one we have stayed at so far - it fit our needs perfectly. The Apartment: Nicely furnished and perfect for a small family with young children. My daughter was in heaven with all the toys (wooden toys, nothing electronic, which drive us crazy) and books (in Dutch, but a lot of classics that we knew and it is easy to wing it when the books have beautiful pictures). In fact, the place had lots of kids stuff without feeling overrun with junk as they were lovely. The open plan set up was great for hanging out. Usually I'm not too keen to cook much when on vacation, but we didn't want to leave, so we had most of our meals in. Kitchen was well appointed and easy to use. Blanche left some stapes for us like milk and has a well stocked pantry, so we had all the basics for cooking meals with the groceries we purchased around the corner. The weather was beautiful so we spent a lot of time in the lovely garden too. Bedrooms were comfortable. Having the washer and dry was helpful. The Location: Loved the neighborhood. Just as described. Family-friendly. Easy to get to attractions using the tram, which is right on the main street around the corner. A 2 minute walk in the other direction is a large grocery store, pharmacy, and a bakery with very good bread. Cute restaurants nearby including a nice ice cream parlor. Nearby parks are beautiful. We walked nearly everywhere. Hosts: Blanche's very nice neighbor let us in, and Blanche was accessible throughout our stay. She left some printed instructions/tips and was very responsive when I messaged her with any questions. Super-friendly and she made us feel very welcome. All three of us would definitely stay here again if the opportunity arises. Thanks for the wonderful stay!
