This sleek, contemporary beach house has been designed for families and is within walking distance of the soft sand and clear water of Dune’s Park Beach. It sleeps up to 12. Family life is easy here with open and accessible living spaces with plenty of seating for family meals together. For summer evenings, there are a Weber gas grill and Big Green Egg BBQ in the yard, fenced for privacy and peace of mind. The 4th bedroom on the main floor is a flexible living space that can be used as a den or additional kingsize bedroom, perfect for grandparents or a nanny, while there are multiple office spaces for remote work.

Why Kids Love it

Kids of all ages will love the open basement filled with games, puzzles, Legos and open-ended toys like Superspace tiles. There’s also an outdoor bin stuffed with toys. The quiet neighborhood is ideal for bikes, skateboards and scooters. The boat launch into the quiet salt pond can be used to take out the kid-sized kayaks and provided life jackets. But the big draw here is the nearby beach and the house is stocked for kids to take full advantage with boogie boards, skim boards, beach toys, umbrella, chairs, blanket and towels.

Things to Know

Minimum stay: 5 nights. Safety notes: there are stair gates on the main floor and outlets throughout are tamper resistant. Baby and toddler equipment provided includes: 4Moms portable play yard, SlumberPod with fan, sound machines, Wifi monitor, baby bath support, Joovy gloo tent, Inglesina highchair, mats and bib. Pets are not allowed. The hosts can recommend local babysitters. A beach parking pass for Dune Park Beach is included in your stay.

About the Location

The residence is on a quiet street in Westerley, Rhode Island. The neighborhood feels like an oasis, while still being less than a 10-minute car ride to almost anything including grocery stores, the pharmacy, parks and restaurants. It's a 5-minute walk to the boat launch and a 6-minute bike ride (or 20-minute walk) to Dune’s Park Beach, where you'll also have a parking pass included with the property. Drive to downtown Westerly or Watch Hill for shopping, exploring charming bookstores or trying out new flavors at ice cream shops. A farmstand on the way to Charlestown has fresh pastries and excellent coffee. Stonington Vineyards with its excellent wine tasting and tours is just 20 minutes away.

Accommodation Details

This 4-bedroom, 3-bathroom Westerly residence has 3 floors. On the main floor is an open plan living space with sofas and a gas stove and fully equipped kitchen with a breakfast bar and dining table. There is a flexible space with a sofa + TV / desk for remote work plus a king-sized hydraulic wall bed for an additional bedroom. Upstairs are 3 more bedrooms: a king bedroom, a queen bedroom and a kids bunk room. The bunk room includes 2 full beds, 2 twin bunks and a trundle bed. The basement has a gym with mats and a Peleton and toys, games and a TV screen and bean bags for movie nights. Outside is a fenced back yard with lounge furniture, BBQs and a fire pit.

Style Notes

Glossy beach style. This sparkling clean house has beautiful natural light with a simple, airy feel and new furniture and furnishings. Spaces are adaptable for everyone’s comfort – the bunk room is bright, inviting and fun for kids but with high-bunks, good mattresses and stairs, adults would sleep here just as comfortably. The living room's gas stove makes even a chilly day feel like a cozy getaway. We love the full finished basement which has everything for both parents and kids to enjoy; the colorful and playful wallpaper in the bathrooms; the plethora of baby equipment and the immaculate back yard – perfect for late evening chats and a spot of star-gazing.

Payment policy
When a host accepts your booking, we will automatically charge your card 30% of the total cost of the stay on acceptance if the check in date is more than 6 weeks away. We will send you a balance payment reminder at 6 weeks before check in and you will be required to submit your payment to finalise your reservation. If a host accepts your booking and the check in date is 6 weeks away or less, we will charge your card 100% of the total cost of the stay on acceptance.
Cancellation policy
For cancellations notified up to 6 weeks before the check in date, guests will receive a refund of any amount paid less 10% of the total cost of the booking. For cancellations notified at 6 weeks or less before the check in date, no refunds are given unless the host agrees. If a host does agree to a full or partial refund, this amount will be returned to the guest less 10% of the total cost of the booking. Some hosts will also allow a stay to be rescheduled. Guests should contact their host for further information regarding any request to change the dates of a stay.
