Perks for the Parents

A bright and contemporary apartment in family-friendly Williamsburg, with private terraces and a shared rooftop space. It sleeps 8 + 2. It’s close to lots of child-friendly eateries and restaurants, but if you prefer to eat in, the fully-equipped kitchen has enough space for a family of 6, with 2 Stokke high chairs and child -appropriate dishware for little ones. The apartment also boasts 2 terraces - a rare find in New York City - 1 off the main living/dining area and 1 off the primary bedroom, so parents can escape for a quiet drink after bedtime.

Why Kids Love it

The residence has plenty of toys and books suitable for kids aged 5 and under. It’s easy to keep an eye on little ones in the main living/dining area and the TV room is ideal for older kids too. The children's room has a crib, and there is an additional travel crib. Kids will love visiting Domino Park which has a great playground and water features, or McCarren park which has fields, a running track, and another large playground.

Things to Know

Minimum stay: 3 nights. Safety notes: there is a small staircase leading up to the TV room, office and playspace. The building has an elevator. There is a common area on the rooftop accessible by stairs and a small indoor patio which is good for summer water play. Car rental is not essential as the public transport is close and efficient. LaGuardia airport is 20 minutes’ drive or 1 hour by public transportation.

About the Location

The apartment is located in desirable Williamsburg, Brooklyn and close to countless eateries, stores and shops. It’s just 4 blocks from the Williamsburg Bedford L, one stop into Manhattan and 15 minutes to Union Square, in the heart of New York City. It’s a 5-minute walk from Domino Park on the East River, and a 10-minute walk from McCarren Park. North 5th Street Pier and park is less than 10 minutes on foot.

Accommodation Details

This apartment has 3 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms, set over 2 floors. You’ll find a fully-equipped kitchen/dining area, with steps up to the separate TV room/office (with Disney +) and a small playspace adjacent to the TV room. The primary bedroom has a queensize bed, a walk-in closet and an ensuite office. The second bedroom has a double bed with a Casper mattress and a crib, so it can be suitable for newborns up to teenagers. The third bedroom has a very comfortable pull-out double sofabed and doubles as an office, complete with a desk and screen. There is an additional small bedroom with a single bed and a window, suitable for a nanny or au pair or even a teenager. Two of the bathrooms have walk-in showers; the other 2 have bathtubs.

Style Notes

Light and modern. This beautiful home boasts double height ceilings and gets amazing light from the double height Southern exposure windows. The décor is contemporary, but practical, with lots of houseplants and great photographs on the walls to add life and color. The children's room is also gender neutral, with plenty of bright colors to add a playful touch. We love the striking light fixture above the dining table, the sleek stainless steel touches in the kitchen and the mid-century influence furniture.

Payment policy
When a host accepts your booking, we will automatically charge your card 30% of the total cost of the stay on acceptance if the check in date is more than 6 weeks away. We will send you a balance payment reminder at 6 weeks before check in and you will be required to submit your payment to finalise your reservation. If a host accepts your booking and the check in date is 6 weeks away or less, we will charge your card 100% of the total cost of the stay on acceptance.
Cancellation policy
For cancellations notified up to 6 weeks before the check in date, guests will receive a refund of any amount paid less 10% of the total cost of the booking. For cancellations notified at 6 weeks or less before the check in date, no refunds are given unless the host agrees. If a host does agree to a full or partial refund, this amount will be returned to the guest less 10% of the total cost of the booking. Some hosts will also allow a stay to be rescheduled. Guests should contact their host for further information regarding any request to change the dates of a stay.

The hippest tots in the hood

Williamsburg, aka ‘Babyburg’, is a hip family hangout. Swing down to the waterfront to watch the boats then hit the Smorgasburg street food market at snacktime. Grass is rolled out on Bedford Ave at the weekend for impromptu picnics, and the neighborhood is packed with street-art inspired play spaces, playgrounds and an array of hip kids boutiques.
