Stay in this idyllic 2-acre compound just 5 minutes’ drive from Woodstock, with a separate guest cottage for teens or grandparents, plus a heated private pool. It sleeps 8. Parents will love the location - the cottages are privately situated at the end of a long driveway, but only 5 minutes drive to the center of Woodstock, full of wonderful restaurants and markets, a movie theater, music and festivals. Spend your afternoons swimming in the heated saltwater pool (additional heating fee applies), relax in the hot tub, or lounge in a hammock in the apple orchard while the kids swing and play in the club house. Pass your evenings barbecuing and dining alfresco on the bluestone patio, playing charades in the game room, or roasting marshmallows in the fire pit.
Why Kids Love it
They’ll find a game room with board games, puzzles and a chess/checker table. The grounds are beautifully maintained and the sprawling lawns are picturesque with plenty of space for running and playing. The 20' x 40' heated saltwater pool, outdoor shower, and brand new hot tub are privately situated in the back yard, while the front yard features an apple orchard, beautiful views of the historic neighboring farm, a fire pit, and a 'Brad's Barns Expedition' children's swing-set, with play structure, and club house. There’s also a TV and apple box in the main cottage for movie nights, as well as a bluetooth record player with plenty of records to choose from.
Things to Know
Minimum stay: 2 nights. Safety notes: the pool is fenced in, but not covered. There is a child proof gate on each of the pool entrances. There are no stairs on the property, so no need for stair gates. The property is located down a long driveway off the main road and there is a gate that can be closed manually on the driveway. Small or clever pets could find a way out, so please be mindful. A house keeper cleans before and during (for longer stays) your visit. There is also an offsite property manager who can help with anything that you may need, who is quick to respond to queries. Pets may be welcome on request, for an additional fee of $50.

The cottage is located in Bearsville, a hamlet of Woodstock NY, a quarter mile from the gourmet marketplace The Cub and the historic Bearsville Theater, and just 2 miles (5 minutes’ drive) to Woodstock's town center. It’s tucked away from the road with beautiful mountain views, providing a postcard-perfect backdrop to wake up to every morning, while also still remaining close to everything. Woodstock is known for its charming boutiques, farm-to-table restaurants and rich history of music and art. Nearby waterfalls are within 15-minute drives; local swimming holes and hikes within 5 minutes’ drive. Bye Trailways bustling stops are accessible in 5 minutes. It’s around 2 to 3 hours from New York City.
Accommodation Details
The property consists of 2 charming cottages: the main house and a guest cottage. The main house has 2 bedrooms and 1 bathroom: a queensize bed in the primary bedroom, and 2 twin beds in the second bedroom perfect for children. The main house also includes a kitchen, living room and dining room. The guest cottage has 1 kingsize bedroom and 1 full bathroom, plus a queensize pullout couch in the living area and a kitchenette. Both kitchens are fully stocked with all the utensils and appliances you need to cook meals. The property also boasts a freestanding office with a desk, couch and ethernet for work time.
