We are a family of four based in Brooklyn, spending about half our time in Woodstock, NY. We love taking the kids on hikes and exploring upstate New York, as well as going to the beaches in Cape Cod. Our kids love to run around outside, play soccer, explore in the woods and hang at the beach. Whenever possible we love traveling and basing adventures on what delicious things we can eat.

We spent a lovely weekend with a couple of friends at the Bluestone ! We even saw deers everyday just in front of the house ! The residence is great, nicely decorated, with a lot of space for everyone (we were 3 couples, 2 single and 2 toddlers of one and half years old). The kitchen is brand new and well furnished.I loved the outdoor space with the large wooden deck, table and lounge chairs, perfect to read a book with a cup of coffee and listen to the forest... The kids were also so happy to play with all the instruments (piano, guitare, etc), toys and lovely books. And the outdoor was great to play with balls. There is an indoor playroom (with balls, trampoline, gym mat) we didn’t use because the weather was so nice, but must be very convenient for rainy days. The communication with Joanna was very easy. She responded almost instantly at my messages, and was very helpful and accommodating. I would definitely come back to Joannas house !

House was very clean and our family really enjoyed every minute of our trip. Joanna was super helpful and checked in to make sure everything was going well. She was also easy to contact whenever we needed, and gave us a list of helpful tips for the house and area.

We just got back from a wonderful stay at the Bluestone Road Residence. This was our first time booking through Kid & Coe and the experience couldn't have been better. The house was incredibly family friendly for us with two small boys, and Joanna couldn't have been nicer or more responsive. Her suggestions made it such a memorable weekend for us. Would absolutely recommend this property to all and hope we will get to return ourselves soon!

This was the perfect weekend getaway, and so easy with the kids, 5 and 2. Everything we needed, so comfortable, plenty of space! And so close to the town. We loved the deck out back, and the fire pit. Joanna was a great host and the list provided with local things to do was so incredibly helpful.

Beautiful house, surrounded by fairy-tale woods and convenient access to downtown with a short 10-minute walk. Our family of five + in-laws spent the loveliest long weekend and wish we could have stayed for longer. We enjoyed relaxing afternoons on the deck and hammock, outdoor dinners and playing guitar at night by the fire pit. The multitude of toys in the house was a big hit with our 2 old. The kitchen was stocked with everything we needed and the layout of the house gave everyone - kids and adults - space. Joanna is super friendly and accommodating, providing everything we needed as well as ideas for activities and places to visit. We look forward to finding a time to return!

We had the most wonderful holiday at The Bluestone Residence in Woodstock. The house was a modernist gem--rustic, cool, comfortable and perfectly situated. It was private but not secluded and the perfect size for our family of five. The town of Woodstock has wonderful restaurants, shopping and beautiful hiking. We will be back!

We stayed here with another family last summer and had a wonderful time. The house is beautifully appointed on an incredibly peaceful piece of property. We loved walking to the swimming hole and roasting marshmallows daily, and enjoyed the charming town of Woodtock that is less than five minutes away. Would happily stay here again.

We had a fabulous time at Joanna's house in late July. We wanted a getaway from New York with our 2 year old and my heavily pregnant wife and had a blast. The house is wonderfully decorated, hasn't plenty of toys and games in the playroom and a trampoline to keep the kids occupied no matter the weather, and is close to some lovely hikes and fruit picking. Highly recommended!

We had a wonderful stay at Bluestone Road with our friends. This was by far the best home rental I've ever used. The house was clean, kid-friendly, cozy, and had plenty of room for two families (2 children total - 4 adults). We highly recommend and would love to return!

Wow, what a place. It was spacious, clean and really well designed and had a really great layout. The setting is just woodsy and relaxing. We loved the children's playroom and the kitchen especially, both were top notch. The BBQ gas grill was the best I've ever used in my life! The proximity to the elementary school playground was really nice too. The owners were prompt and very accommodating, a pleasure to rent from!

The Bluestone house was absolutely delightful and perfect for my 4 year old and my 8 month old baby. It is very close to Woodstock downtown, and a quick stroll away from a cute swimming hole. The playroom and the backyard was great and Joanna had the perfect toys, books, art supplies to entertain them. The kitchen was well equipped and stocked, with everything ranging from blender to kid friendly utensils. Joanna gave us wonderful kid-friendly recommendations and was very responsive to our questions. I look forward to staying there again!

The Bluestone house is beautifully renovated, clean and was a perfect home for our family. About a mile walk to the heart of Woodstock town -- we took plenty of family strolls down the hill to restaurants and shops. Great backyard for the kids to run around. And the rooms worked out great for us and the kids. On top of it, the hosts were very helpful and made our stay easy.

We rented this beautiful house for the long weekend and we were so sad lo leave it and go back to the city. I would move there any time!! We just loved it!! My kids had so much fun there. The house is cozy, cute, clean and so comfortable for families with kids. They had so many toys and movies in the play room, they have cribs, lots of beds and even a double stroller. The barbecue outside was perfect!! We bought delicious food in the little town and it was delicious. The kitchen has everything you can need if you like to cook. As I said, everything was just perfect!! Joanna is very kind and she will help with everything you need. I can't wait to go back.

We had a fantastic stay at the Bluestone Road Residence! Our party of 6 + baby was very comfortably accommodated in the house which exuded mid-century modern charm. The newly renovated kitchen and bbq made cooking a delight, and Joanna shared an amazing set of recommendations for the local area, from restaurants and shops to kid friendly activities. We can't wait to return to Bluestone Road!

We stayed a weekend at the Bluestone Road Residence with a group of friends and our six-month old baby girl. The house was fantastic - clean, great natural light, comfy and homey, and stocked with everything we needed. We cooked and grilled and used the fire pit (and made s'mores!). We hope to visit the Bluestone Road Residence again soon!

Thanks Joanna - close to, if not the most family-friendly and well provisioned holiday house we've rented. We loved the house and everything in it. My wife basically wants to buy it and move in, and our 4 year old son nearly cried when we left, and keeps asking to go back.

This was my first time renting through KidandCoe, and I didn't really know what to expect. Needless to say, we were so impressed! My best friend and our families stayed here over a long weekend in April. I can not say enough wonderful things about this home, the owners and the town of Woodstock. The house is amazing. The owners did a fantastic job of renovating while still keeping the original charm of a deck house. The rooms are airy and impeccably decorated. We loved the "camp" like feel to the house. This is a really great house to rent with two families. We stayed in the guest room, and I honestly thought it was as nice as the master bedroom. The kitchen is fully stocked, and we were easily able to cook an elaborate dinner our final night. One of the best things about this property is how kid friendly it is! The owners have thought of everything, from the big details like high chairs, crib/pack-n-plays, changing tables, toys to the small details like bibs, nightlights, and sippy cups. We had three children under the age of five and they were so happy playing in the house. The tent in the living room was a huge hit. Finally, Joanna could not have been more helpful. We pretty much followed all of her recommendations from hikes to restaurants. She was also very prompt to answer any question we had about the town or house. We are already planning on a trip again next year!

Bluestone Rd residence was exactly how it was described and more. The home is very well maintained and clean. Lots of great home design goodies. Owners were great at communicating before our stay and made sure we were well informed about the house and srea. Instructions were extremely thorough and easy to understand. Area attractions were very helpful. We enjoyed the brand new kitchen, many bedrooms for the kids, and the playroom that was well stocked. The backyard was expansive and the fireplace in the living room was the coziest place after a snowy day! Thank you Joanna

We had a marvelous time at Joanna's home and couldn't have asked for a better weekend away. There was a small hiccup at the beginning of the trip due to the heat not working but Joanna and her husband were super responsive and had the oil company over immediately to take care of it. They continued to check in with us throughout our stay to make sure all our needs were met. We were 2 families with 4 kids (ages 1-4) between us and everyone had a blast. The house is gorgeous, with beautiful attention to detail in the choice of furnishings and home accessories. I appreciated the fully equipped and stocked kitchen and my husband loved the super comfy bed, cozy fireplace and wood burning stove. The kids couldn't get enough of the tent in the living room, amazing toy selection, and DVD collection. Though we made the trip up to Woodstock specifically to enjoy the snow and outdoors, no one wanted to leave the house! We definitely plan on returning to enjoy what the home has to offer in the warmer months.

We stayed here over New Year's with our 18 month old son and another family with their 15 month old son. The house was lovely, everything from the aesthetics and design to being completely kid and family friendly, as well as nice for the adults once the kids went to bed. Joanna was a very accommodating host who mad sure that we had everything we needed. The location was also great: close enough to town so it wasn't a hassle to do anything, but far enough away to let us feel like we were having a weekend in the country. We look forward to renting this house again, especially this summer when we can make better use of the outdoor fire pit!

Head to the Catskills and Woodstock for an eco-friendly retreat: wooded hillsides, hiking trails, lakes, rivers and plenty of space to run, yell and play. Artists, writers and musicians have made this rural spot a colony for the arts - and there’s great home-baked food here too.
