Why Kids Love it

The home is loaded with perks for kids aged 5 and up, including enough instruments to recreate your own mini-Woodstock – a full-sized piano, guitar, djembe, bongos, ukulele and karaoke machine. The oversized kids’ room sleeps 6 in total with 2 full over twin bunkbeds, making this the ultimate sleepover room. It’s also stocked with games, toys, art supplies and even a secret passageway! Outside includes a nostalgic swing slung from the towering oak tree in the front yard, frog pond, 3 hammock chairs (no fighting about who gets one), 2 hammocks, slack line, badminton, fire pit and a magical mountain creek just across the street to hunt for crayfish or splash around.

Things to Know

Minimum stay: 2 nights. Maximum guests: 10. There is ample parking onsite, a large, covered pavilion with a picnic table, as well as a fully furnished deck with dining table for al fresco dining. The property is sprayed for mosquitos and ticks in the summer so you can enjoy bug-free evenings outdoors. There is a shallow frog pond on property so children should be supervised while outside. Stairs are not gated. No pets allowed. The nearest international airport is in Albany, an hour’s drive and NYC is around 2 hours by car.

Style Notes

Chic, vibrant, and playful. This gorgeous light-filled farmhouse in the Catskills is designed so you can be together without being on top of each other with plenty of space for kids and adults to have fun inside and out. The classic modern décor has been thoughtfully curated with a touch for rustic in a nod to its rural location. Modern minimalism of white walls and pale colors and traditional elements, such as the wooden ceiling beams, are blended to create a living space full of character and warmth. The primary ensuite bathroom evokes old hotel grandeur with vintage light fittings and marble sinks. The front porch has a rocking chair for a sunny morning coffee. We love the hardwood floors that beckon to be walked on barefoot, the vintage print wallpapered bathrooms, and the outdoor space with plenty to keep the kids roaming free for days.
