Perks for the Parents

This countryside residence with a pool in the north of Ibiza is 20 minutes’ drive from the buzzy Ibiza town with rugged beaches, spas and more to discover nearby. It sleeps up to 6 (or 10 with an additional casita). This peaceful property is the perfect place to catch up with family and friends. In the summer, wonderful weather is pretty much guaranteed and you’ll be spending time on the terrace with beautiful view. Kids will enjoy picking oranges from the trees while parents will pluck the garden’s lemons to accompany dishes cooked outside on the BBQ. Surrounded by orchards, olive and almond trees, the northern part of Ibiza is authentic and tranquil.

Why Kids Love it

Kids will enjoy splashing in the pool and hiding in the treehouse in the garden. There are veggies to pick from the vegetable patch and plenty of toys in the house. Venture out and the 80 beaches on the island await with many family-friendly stretches of white sand and turquoise water. To the east, near Santa Eularia there are beautiful beaches such as Cala Llenya (a 15-minute drive) and Aguas Blancas (25 minutes by car), and to the north there is Cala Xarraca near Portinax. Or, you could try a jeep safari, one of the many water parks, coastal cycling or paddleboarding.

Things to Know

Minimum stay: 3 nights. The rates are for the main house (sleeps 6) only; the house can also be hired with the additional 'casita', an attached guest house, which sleeps 4. Ask the host for a quote if you require both properties. There are also 2 other rental houses on the estate (including The Campo Loft) available all year round - please contact the host for full details if you wish to book more than 1 property. The house has air conditioning. The outside terrace forms a balcony with an unguarded woodburner where young children will need supervision. The garden is terraced and has drop-offs; the pool is not gated but sits behind the house with steps up to it. The house has fast WiFi throughout. Car hire is recommended to get to the beaches and explore the area. There is parking at the property. Note that there is no TV.

About the Location

The residence is just outside the small inland hamlet of Sant Llorenc de Balafia (San Lorenzo) in the Morna Valley, in north central Ibiza. San Lorenzo is tiny but its attractions include a church and the local family-friendly restaurant La Paloma. Atzaró, a well-regarded chic spa-hotel is a 5-minute drive and the bustling village of Santa Gertrudis is 15 minutes by car. The nearest beaches are Aguas Blancas and Benirras. Ibiza airport is 20 minutes away by car.

Accommodation Details

The main house has 5 bedrooms and 1 bathroom and is on 1 level. It comprises a spacious kitchen, a living room with a dining area, and a family bathroom with a shower. There is 1 kingsize bedroom, 1 queensize and 2 kids rooms each with a single bed (which can but put together in 1 room on request). The bathroom has a bathtub and walk-in shower, as well as a separate WC. A double air bed and 2 travel cribs are available for additional guests. Outside, a covered terrace overlooks the garden with a dining table seating 12, a BBQ and a woodburning stove. The additional casita has a kitchen, bathroom, plus a separate living/dining area which leads to a downstairs sleeping area and an upstairs mezzanine, both with double beds.

Style Notes

Rural bliss. This is the residence to truly get away from it all and experience Ibizan local life. In front of the house is a large terrace with dining and lounge area and a magnificent view over the valley. You can also see the sea. Inside, the minimal décor beautifully offsets the vintage Ibicenco and mid-century modern furniture. We love the wooden ceilings that give the place a truly rustic vibe, the outdoor terrace, perfect for al fresco entertaining, and the pool surrounded by lush gardens.

Payment policy
When a host accepts your booking, we will automatically charge your card 30% of the total cost of the stay on acceptance if the check in date is more than 6 weeks away. We will send you a balance payment reminder at 6 weeks before check in and you will be required to submit your payment to finalise your reservation. If a host accepts your booking and the check in date is 6 weeks away or less, we will charge your card 100% of the total cost of the stay on acceptance.
Cancellation policy
For cancellations notified up to 6 weeks before the check in date, guests will receive a refund of any amount paid less 10% of the total cost of the booking. For cancellations notified at 6 weeks or less before the check in date, no refunds are given unless the host agrees. If a host does agree to a full or partial refund, this amount will be returned to the guest less 10% of the total cost of the booking. Some hosts will also allow a stay to be rescheduled. Guests should contact their host for further information regarding any request to change the dates of a stay.
